Sefton-EP91
I have a HKS SSQV at the moment but was looking at getting the tial sport q. My question is. what pressure do I go for? 6, 8, 10 or 11 Psi?I will be at 1.4bar+ on a WEPR Billet td04 hybrid turbo. Thanks for all advice in advance Edited November 29, 2014 by Sefton-EP91
maddox710
What ever you want really the spring will hold it to the designated pressure or near enough anyway. so say if it's a 1 bar spring and your driving around upto around 14 psi or so it won't dump fully will flutter
daniel_g
Id go for a fairly stiff spring in it, BOVs can be annoying going off every two seconds at the slightest hint of boost. Stiff spring and it will only dump when youre banging along at full chat.Depends on what you like though

I will go for a stiffer spring then, I'm not a big fan of the sound of bov's, love the flutter noise! LolThanks again guys

LolThanks again guys Yeah man having an adjustable BOV or one with different springs is the best of both worlds. Ive go no BOV on mine so it just flutters but i do miss the dump valve noise. Rob H@RCH Engineering
The spring pressure is nothing to do with the amount of boost you run, the spring rate is more down to the vacume pressure that opens it, a soft spring will open sooner as it needs les vac to open it a hard spring will open later. I run the softest spring in my tial shimmed up with washers to get it how I like it.
