Matt1878 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Fitted my new WEPR kit today. All nice and easy to do etc. Then started it up and sounded lovely. Idles as it should etc. I fitted the white and the green spring in my Tial MV-S which is supposed to be 0.8bar and reset my HKS EVC so that I can set it to wastegate pressure. It says to do a run and then it should match the wastegate pressure. Well, let's just say it went to about 1.4-1.5 bar before I backed off and it felt like it was going to go some more...Any ideas?.. Gainzy Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I would do a run without the ebc see what your boosting just to make sure... Quote
Matt1878 Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 The EBC had been reset mate and it was asking me to do a run so that I can set the pressure the wastegate is at as my base Quote
Socks Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Wrong Springs.... Try experimenting with springs but i wouldn't go over 1bar even for a few seconds if i was you, serious DET! Quote
Matt1878 Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 Wrong Springs....Try experimenting with springs but i wouldn't go over 1bar even for a few seconds if i was you, serious DET!I want 0.8 dude.. Both Tial and Mike said it is the white and green springs which are in. I'm going to remove the springs and put a single black one in which should be 0.6 bar. When it's mapped again I'll run 0.6/0.8 spring and use the EBC to hit 1bar Quote
Gainzy Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I run a 0.5 spring let the ebc do the rest Quote
Matt1878 Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 I run a 0.5 spring let the ebc do the restWill use the 0.6 and let my EBC do it cheers dude. Quote
DavidAshton Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Wastegate could be plumbed in wrong. I would triple check that. I remember once not plumbing a CT9 in and it went boost crazy, scary stuff watching the boost gauge go places it shouldn't be! Quote

Top port is to my EBC, bottom is to to a t-piece to the turbo and then off to the EBC. Water lines are left open and the other two air lines are blocked off. Quote
wickedep Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 hey matt, just plug in a vacum source to the bottom (side) port...if you've chosen 0.8 spring pressure..then hooking up the vacum up this way should give you that. at least this will help identify that the tial is working properly. Quote
Bluebear Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Ah wait, my bad, the MV-S uses different ones.EDIT: Tial confirms that it's White and Green for 0.8 bar. Sounds like something is plumbed in wrong.http://tialsport.com/documents/MVRspc.png Quote
Matt1878 Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 I've sorted this now wastegate is fine. EBC needed me to manually input the maximum. I thought I would do a run and it would pick it up. Thanks guys! Quote
