what a waste of such a wonderful machine.

without the original screaming engine that goes in them hakosuka's it just seems a bit........of a waste.... ;)

its like putting anything but a 4AGE in an ae86, its removing the soul that makes the cars what they are, the legends that they have become... :p

Riko my good man...I disagree.

Firstly the car wasn't a GTR, it was a GTS (nobody in their right mind would mod an original GTR apparently). And secondly...me being controversial (so don't hate me) it's called progress and blending old and new to create something truly demonic.

I have to say I'm not a Hachiroku fanboy, they're a shit old rust bucket and waaaaay overpriced....horses for courses I guess, but that car above...is awesome ;)

Well on that basis, you are excused...to a degree :p But the great engine (which after a short research, was straightly derived from a Prince Race Engine) is what makes the Hakosuka Skyline, it's what created the legend! But you're right, the Hachiroku is gay (just messing, but it's not comparable to something like a Skyline, there's nothing legendary about it, other than it's the car a lot of the Professional Legendary drivers like them)

Nah, not that gay, but I just think they're overestimated - even Keiichi (if that's what it takes for people to accept things) that as standard, there's nothing great about it - it's underpowered, not great handling, but it's a great way to "learn" how to drift

i absolutly love cars like this. Modernise it completly so its fast, reliable, doesnt handle like a barge, nice inside etc whilst still keeping the classic style and essence of the car.

People have been doing this to hot rods for years. Yeah fair enough if i was a collecter i would buy a mint one and keep it concourse but chances are it was a bit of a shed to begin with and they just brought it back to life and made 100 times better than the factory.

to be honeset even if it was a split mint gtr i would still love it and want it. Its just like sticking a zetec in a mk1 escort, or fitting a classic chevy with a fuel injected 572.
