RobSR Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 You put it on retention which will cost £80. You can then sell it from the retention document. You can only really do a transfer if you own both vehicles at the same time. When you put the private plate on retention, you send the v5 and mot off with the form and they re-assign a reg of that age back to the car and reprint the V5 + MOT with the new details, all you need to do is then get some plates made up. Aamir Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 If anyone is looking for a plate for a Glanza V I know of a lad selling one. S3 KCV and space it out like this S3KC V Which pretty much says "Sexy V" If you know anyone interested give me a shout and I'll put you through to him Aamir Quote
Glanza-Ben Posted April 21, 2015 Posted April 21, 2015 Just had to loose a plate c3 dpo valued between 4-900 because could not transfer as car had no mot or tax Quote
ReeceGolliker Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 It's £80 to transfer plates, it's a bit of a pain to do, I did it from my old car to the glanza but both were in my name! I think it'll be more difficult if it's being transferred to someone else's car? Quote
MARC MOSS Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 My wife had k353 Mos on her old e36 m3, I transfered it to her corsa Vxr and now it's on her e46 m3. I have mm05 ASM which is my name and company name all of which cost £80 for retentions and transfers I just bought her MO55 KAY last month for £800 including transfer fees and she was well happy as it's simply her name but then I realised I'd fucked up as we dont own a car young enough to put it on lol Quote
Nanglebadger Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 That's not a private plate, its a Northern Ireland registration. Phil. Quote
