Ollieh17
rebuilt standard brakes front and back with braided lines abs removal and dot 5.1 fluid. Despite this the brakes still feel rubbish. Any ideas? Blockage in the lines, master cylinder had it?

_shaun_
Aye there sadly shit for any decent braking I'd loom at either he Celica upgrade or a nice 4pot kit
mikey4410
use all the stock calipers with braided lines, new fluid, new decent quality front discs and lastly use mintex 1155 front pads.I did brands the other day and was braking from 118mph and it was fine.my brakes didnt fail at all or fade. Ollieh17
Green stuff pads, i know they arent the best
mikey4410
ebc brake pads do work ok if they are yellow stuffs BUT the pads always crack and come away from backing , qualitys poor.also do not use grooved and or drilled discs.just solids.
AdamB
Check the vacuum connection to the servo, make sure it's not split. Also make sure you have nothing else tee'd off that line. When you say brakes feel rubbish, do you mean there's a lot of pedal travel? Brakes don't feel like they have very good bite? Do they fade?
Ollieh17
travels okay, just barely any bite havent really drove hard enough for fade
AdamB
First time you've used greenstuff pads?
Ollieh17
Nah had them on for a while now
AdamB
Why did you rebuild the brakes? Were they sticking/seizing?
RobSR
EBC are wank, mintex 1155 are okay. Gonna put some xp8's/10's in mine on the stock calliper and see what happens.
AdamB
Agree with Rob,but if you rebuild calipers because sticking or seizing, it's more than likely the pads are glazed and don't give that bite.
