dangeestarlet
Got a nice 60k 4efe out of a sr here and going to keep it for my other sr so I want a build a high compression 4efe, is fte anthena head gaskets same as 4efe ones? What else can I do to increase power? Port and polish, head skim etc , just want more power and don't want to do a turbo conversion as it's a sr want to keep it as it is with 4efe Edited May 10, 2015 by dangeestarlet
morgey
Arent athena ones thicker? Think trd do a 0.6mm one to bump up the compression, maybe skim the head a bit too. Custom cams or 5efhe ones.Itb's/glanza/corolla inlet mani.exhaust maniexhaust management And a map.Obviouslt freshening up the ignition system would help also.
dangeestarlet
Not to sure , il have a look for a trd one, what would be the most that I could skim off the head ?I got a mani back exhaust system so will keep an eye out for manifold, Thanks
RobSR
standard gasket is 1.2mm in both the fe and fte. If you want more compression the TRD gasket (0.6mm) is an option or i think the sera ran a 0.5mm gasket.
Rob H@RCH Engineering
The TRD gaskets are discontinued now! They where 0.6mm. Ive just got one off mikey on hear as a spair lol
dangeestarlet
Want to sell it ? 😛 what about a fte head? Would that make any difference in performance wise. Is that a standard sera head gasket or you mean trd one?
mikey4410
man u gotta itb it.the noise is savage,it will go alot better and it will still be n/a. it was goin to be what I was goin to do to my sportif initially.

Is that a standard sera head gasket or you mean trd one? All you will gain from a FTE head is better valve springs, turbo cams are not the best for a N/A 5efhe cams would work tho. And no I dont want to sell the gasket lol I know how hard there going to be to get hold of!
