haggis
Is the wiring harness the same for auto and manual? Wanting to Get EMB or EMU but need to know about wether harness is same for both manual and auto glanza
Stu
There's are a few differences but none of them are major - main one is that there is a neutral start switch circuit that runs to the auto box so it wont start in gear. Normally when converting to manual this is just bridged so the starter still triggers. Other than that Im not sure - I've only converted them to manual so have removed that section from the loom and haven't used one as an auto (I don't think I've ever driven an auto GT to be honest). _shaun_
theres smalll differences in the loom but if you take an emu down to your tuner they should be able to wire it in fine

haggis
Only place near me is Wallace performance and they said I need the right harness ... don't think they can wire them in. How easy is it to find standalone auto glanza plug and play ecus
daniel_g
I dont think the EMU P&P harness exists for autos, the one for the manuals is made by a company called boomslang. Could try contacting them to try get one made up.Or take it elsewhere to be wired in and mapped.
_shaun_
if your compitent enough could wire it in yourself its not very hard. did you explain to them you have the emu and its main harnesses you just need it wired in to your car harness? ive never herd of a mapper not wiring an ecu in before. _shaun_
from memory tuning developments and race-tech have both fitted them to autos. could always call them and ask what the differences are. i have a emu for sale in the forsales section if its any use! if you where closer i would have offered to wire it in for you but its abit of a trek ha! _shaun_
i ran it with a matching boost controller. obv if you just wanted the emu i could split it all to make it cheaper http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/94234-emu-with-eo-01-ebc-and-rare-remote-switching-device/
lukEp
The harness is bridge wired pin for pin harness so will 100% fit a MT or AT ecu you will then have to wire the ecu in to the harness there's plenty of AT ecu pin outs available online. From memory they're wired the same anyway engine wise, bar AT ecu has extra wires for the auto box and dash lights, which simply, the pins are there but aren't used and auto box components aren't there in the MT ecu.You can plug a AT ecu directly into a manual glanza and it will run and vice versa MT ecu in an Auto and it will run (probably won't drive mind due to not having the right signals for the gearbox) Edited June 15, 2015 by lukEp
