Ollieh17
Can anyone recommend a tool that can fir on a drill that can be used to enlarge the hole in a caliper for fitment. Distance is 1.7mm across two holes. Not sure if a dremel will cut it
adzy
Not sure exactly what your wanting to drill but what about a step drill? Or you can get carbide rotary files that you could buff the hole out with?
Ollieh17
I have a set of calipers that don't quite line up with the original holes in the hub. They are out by just 1.7mm. If i can elongate the hole slightly each side i can bolt them up easy enough. I guess a dremel is the best bet
Hou
If they don't fit there will be a reason. Increasing the size of the hole and risking play in what is arguably the most important part of the car can never be sensible
5e colin
hand file mate get the elbow grease working its only 1.7mm use a round file so there wont be any play
Ollieh17
Yeh there is a reason....they aren't for the car. There isn't a abundance of off the shelf parts available. 1.7mm across two caliper holes is a very small amount.
