fiddlersport
75mm is the service limit....
Phil
Just be carefulIf it's a previous forged motor and you hope to just drop some 75mm pistons in cause that what it used previous well that's not the way it works Also if it's currently running 74.5mm and you hope to Rebore and run 75s then that makes a lot more sense but if your going to that hassle and expense of drop a fresh set of wiseco 75s in - machine shop will bore per cyclinder per piston and you will have nice new pins and rings Some one may be selling you a scrap block if it's already been taken out to 75mmPhil
SpikeyJp_68
Thanks for your replies, I have read that 75mm is the max it can be bored out to. Will probably end up getting a standard block and standard internals as I don't want to run too much power
5e colin
if your going standard limits then go on ebay and buy the 5e paseo pistons oversize of 75mm and get the tops scimmed down if you need more info pm me
SpikeyJp_68
Cost much to get the work done ? Blocks never been compression tested so it's a bit risky Edited February 22, 2016 by SpikeyJp_68
SpikeyJp_68
After thinking about it I've decided not to go for the bored out block because 1) can't do a compression test 2) 75mm Pistons are a lot of money and if the engine goes it's a lot of money wasted and 3) as I will be running standard limits for the time being with a td04, the extra hassle isn't worth it, easier to buy a standard fte block and go from there. Thanks for all your replies
