DIY manifold-what piping

Best piping to use for a DIY manifold? Not too bothered about mild or stainless. Cutting up the piecea and arranging all the bits and a mate is welding it all

go ti your local metal suplier they will have 3 standard sizes in stock they probly only have the 45s

depends wha size your ports are on the gtti go of that i just gave u an example there there the 1s i used on my ram manni

i had a manifold made of this years ago for the ct9...by my calculations its close to 15 years old and still going on a friend's car

when i made my mani i used 1 1/4" 45 short radio bends sch 40 3.6mm thick, if i mind right i needed 12 bends to make a ram horn mani and i bought them of a company called BSS.

if i mind right i sent u a bend for your external wast gate, thats what i made my mani out of.

you forgotten you need a buy a few extra to cut the 45s that are needed

Mild steel schedule40, 32mm nominal bore steam pipe bends are what I use most of the time. They come in 180's, long or short radius 90's and 45's

Yeah steam pipe SC40 get's my vote. Very tough and last's many heat cycle's and test of time. Only thing is it can get surface rust, but this does not affect anything performance wise.

No mate, when you weld the 2 together use 309 stainless dissimilar rods.. You'll be bang on pal!!!
