my dad used to build race engines so he helped me through all the right steps so it was all built properly but im just on the verge of giving up, i need my car for workm buying a cheap run about from my mate later hopefully

yeah i built it myself, but I made sure it was build properly, made sure everything was machined to the specified clearances for the new bits, everything was tightened to the correct torque setting, im getting the rocker off in a minute to have a look, just feel so annoyed !

so finally rebuilt my engine, done around 500 miles since, mineral oil, many changes, blah blah blah, 8psi boost on a td04, fully forged engine and was coming home last night, hit boost a few times, started hearing loud tapping, pulled over popped the hood, revved it and heard a really loud knock, was 5 miles from home so i crawled it, knocking really loudly but sounds like its coming from the top end?! any suggestions?

where abouts actually was it? mightve been me, but could have been 1 of the 4 guys round my area that have a black gt haha sqaure or quad light?

where abouts actually is the fan switch? never really looked at it, and Jay the aircon was removed years ago before I have the car, its only since I swapped the rads over that its constantly on

whenever i start my car, fan comes on, it never used to do this when i had my old stock rad, now im using a half rad but still the same plug so whats changed?

do you know what the stud thread and pitch is?

just got my RARB, whiteline adjustable, has 3 holes, which hole stiffens up the back end the most? it was used on the middle hole but was curious which is best to use, obviously too much rear grip is bad but wanna try the stiffest setting to see what its like

thats what I wasnt sure about how to actually adjust it, I know how to check it but is buying shims the only way?

how do I do it? top end is a little rattly and needs sorting out, I know about measuring the clearances but I need to know how to adjust it, Ive read that you use a tool to do it but dont know how
