Cal, wastegate or boost controller, swap them out and narrow it down abit. a torn seal in the external gate would act like a leaking actuator make it hard to build boost/hold it. Phil

Depends what you spend you money on. Idrees or browner etc can likely build a car for free with abit of effort shifting parts around. Simplest way to budget for a build is really understand what you want yourself and what you need to get there and then buy nothing outside the essentials. Phil

Reminds me, ive a spare vf8 turbo here for you. (i broke a bit off the compressor housing trying something stupid.) so not looking any money for it, but rest of the turbo is grand if the other one ever gives out you could swap it out for this. Pick it up anytime your up north man. Phil

Yup if your lucky you get the price of the parts on the car, not including much value for the car. 100% right you never get someone happy to pay for the time to put all these things together into a running motor, but you also never get any money for taking it all apart either, and if you do get near a bare shell you end up almost giving it away. another reason to sell complete for me, never get enough money extra breaking to pay your time to break/reply to PMs/Package/Post/Correspond with buyer/Sort issues Phil

Well on a good stock engine with a solid tune that doesnt det or overfuel or anything nasty you should be grand. but for me id rather have the fun in the bigger hp td04 ep and build a fresh stock engine in my spare time with spare cash if i was really worried. seen stock engines make great power right here in the north of ireland for yonks. Phil

yeah all depends how much money you have spare and what you use your car for. id rather have 260hp td04 stock engine as it would suit my interests/needs but everyone is different. Phil

Haha everyones different ill grant you, i sold my last one whole simply cause i could make more money working during the time and effort involved in breaking. and working was a sure thing, breaking is subject to buyers, demand, competition etc. Phil
