Gorgan, I ran the cheap rods for quite some Milage at decent revs on a high comp 4e making 265 @ 1bar td04 (as you well know you tgtt man you ) Until my expensive billet cams fell apart and somewhat ruined the engine. Ran like this for yonks loved the revs. Get whatever rods you can', weigh they up get them matched and then balance the bottom end assembly together. And youll have as good an engine as any and better than most. Phil

I'd use the max speeding rods on the first ad no prob. Have done in the past and others in NI also without issue. Highest hp on a bone stock td04 at 1bar was set using these. Took the revs no problems Phil

Tb developments are really good guys. If he really needs it and eBay encourages or makes a dispute out of it at his end then it's easy to see how eBay fail users from both perspectives but still tb developments are real helpful and proper gentlemen to deal with. it's a dispute over a 99p item to you but a dispute over a power steering pump to him. Pick you jap back box of choice up for 100 ish quid. and head to Dees or Street Racer depending whats closer. the welder at street racer does rally prep etc and seems to know what he is at. or buy the Zisco/RW developments system its pretty awesome Phil

Happy to report that as dodgy as ttestarlet is (lol) the car is well known locally and has had all the work claimed done. Ryan is just a bit lazy lol Engine built by Chris Carson. Machine work by a top engineer (hoy I think) Has been owned by ted since it was imported and more recently by ttestarlet aka Ryan since. Always been on the forums and car has always went like stink. think from what jay told me and what gryzor has been looking in to the time delay and warnings about det/knock are poor to the point of useless. really unsure what the use of this bit of kit will be except for logging and viewing back afterwards. Phil

you can just get the baffled drilled out and tap the holes to give yourself a removeable baffle. thats what i have. just remember to loctite those bad boys back in lol Phil
