Optional is obvious
And if it's not optional then it's aftermarket

yeah colin...it worked great for almost a year...i only recently took out the box to get a full rebuild
yeah i'd say short term fix...because the damage was already done in my case and i'm not certain if the heavy shockproof is gl rated for our boxes--which could potentially lead to more problems in the long run,
yeah i had the red color one
i think yours is blue/green color??
Yes it's blue / grey colour
Will be pumping it into the gearbox in the morning! And report back

holly mo i never knew oil could make crunchy syncro go away
is that only a short term fix ( 1 year ) ??
Well we are talking oil at best that's nearly twice the normal viscosity - And more.
A normal heavy (non redline) 140w gear oil causes lay shaft drag and creeping of the car so it's not for everyone. On a set of rollers or axle stand you can warm her up for few minutes before trying to drive her.
But apparently the redline stuff removes the need and is much more useable when cold.

Yeah that's the one I have.
The lightweight one.
And I'll be running it alone 100%

Doesn't it say shockproof oil shouldn't be used with syncros? Im looking for a good oil for my charade box to keep things sweet
thats the 250w one, they do a shockproof 140w for synchro boxes.

Which shockproof oil did you use?

Glanza
Though I destroyed a gt one earlier in the year.
Have a gt box back in now and going to swap to redline shockproof oil

Mate what are you even talking about!? Your literally imagining a debate that isnt there.
I started my sentence saying I'm not debating, so I'd rather not be dragged into a ridiculous arguement over nothing.
I was putting 'your wrong for a multitude of reasons' in the nicest way possible. And with enough explaination so that if you cared or could understand, you would.
There is certainly no debate or arguement about the product.
Still hold the record for hp on td04 at 1bar to I think.

Kemso starting to be more widely used.
Basically identical to quantum (eBay it)
They started real cheap aswell
Kemso will cost 60 in a year or so
I'd def use the quantum over the walbro. Bigger capacity not working as hard. I've burnt a couple of walbros out. Really depends on your needs.

Which oil to use for diff ?
in Drivetrain & Transmission

revert to what Richard said ^^
if it isnt obvious then its not optional as they stick out 'behind' the gearbox sort of.
as Richard said if its encased then its aftermarket.
and to be certain you have a LSd rather than open diff - just pop a shaft out and take a pic.
