the black kit is lovely on it isnt it.
if someone described that car to me i would have scratched my head and said...ehhh No.
but somehow its beautiful
also as for more details, unfortunately that car may be off the radar forever, the one and only time i saw pics of it was on Toyotagtturbo.com Yonks ago.
the guys member name was Fastva from Guatemala!!

I remember Chris was thinking of making these as a p&p unit. Would be a good thing to sell I think as good price tag and can do many many things on them.
Think he's not doing them. In the tread on tgtt he said stay away from them lol
Im pretty sure the P&play option isnt on the table atm from chris,
BUT extraEFI is the plug and play megasquirt Guru and chris would recomment his built units.
He would map fitted megasquirt no prob.
Megasquirt is a great budget option with lots of tricks.

Only thing that's ever bothered me is expansion rates, or is it minimal?
minimal, pistons once upon a time had high silicone content (7%) but most big brands now dont.
i dont think that was ever an issue with rods, also you arent dealing with tight tolerances at all when notching a block or at least that wouldnt be a sensible aim to have.

i need 4 myself, just wondering what size they are>? as i would get some of Ebay if i knew what diameter they need to be?
good luck in your search,
maybe you would be up for paying that money, im not unfortunately.

do i need to have my block notched for any forged rods then?
adam has answered this i know,
only thing id add is that notching the block is very simple job you can do yourself once you get your block back from the machine shop/engineer, therefore costs nothing and only takes an evening of time.
investing abit of time into your build yourself will be enjoyable too.

if its about quality control etc - buy pauter imo there 4e i-section has been the top rod in the market for years.
if you want the best cost like i would need id be buying maxspeedingrods from them directly.
even offer to buy a few sets to get the price down them sell them on.

It's very easy to blame Matt as he was the one who made the new forum What people tend to forget is he was making it cause he was asked by 20 plus members of staff and the trade team of Uksc to do so. Easy to single out one person but people are digging at the wrong guy really.....
I think matt/socks was wrong, and i believe all the traders and staff were wrong too.
i believe the decision whether taken unilateral or not was wrong. ive spoke to staff who were very much for UKSO at the time who wish in hind sight that they UKSC had more time to die itself so UKSO could be started and no agro caused.
I think it was wrong, i cant see me thinking anything different, but i dont really care.
thing i find most distasteful is to claim the traders and staff were all for the content steal, as if that matters or makes a difference,
the staff obviously have a vested interest in the forum content and the traders in trading there.
nobody has any problem understand why you/yous did it, many of us just dont think it was right.
but being a TGTT man i dont much mind whether it UKSC or UKso i frequent lets all just get along.

Ya, I have to agree with Matty, I've dealt with Mike before he's offered me advise on my afrs and given me target afrs for my car to fuel safely, and has gone through it all carefully explaining it to me. I can't help but think things are getting blown out of proportion and a bit of Chinese whispers is occurring.
Really think it should be dealt with fairly and like gentlemen before harming the reputation of a long serving specialist company. Fair play if your annoyed but these things happen... It could be a horrible coincidence or just bad luck who knows!
I'd just take mike up on the offer let them check it over give it to them for a week so they have the time to really see what's wrong and things aren't rushed as we all know what happens when things/people are rushed!
Anyhow, I hope you sort this man and I'm sure TD will ensure your car is back to standard ASAP.
Best of luck, Toby.
well said toby,
honestly redline you should drop the "let me see with my own eyes stuff" and just let TD deal with this issue in a normal manner.
you say that the only reason there is a problem is because of the conflicting advise given but they have offered to have a proper look at it in this thread.
so your would be better moving forward with that now, see where you get to, and leave more feedback afterwards.
i can see why your annoyed but your situation is only ever as good as how you deal with it.

thats 24cc increase, so the 0.6mm will still only bring it back 14cc above stock, spool would be helped by a nice skim

difference between Wiseco and Wossner pistons
in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
Posted · Edited by Philm
They will be the same wee end pin fitment.
Pretty sure Wossner use a high silicone content, which would lead to more thermal expansion therefore the need for more tolerance in the engineers rebore, subsequently a more rattley engine when cold.
apart from that, get the appropriate comp pistons, flat or concave/dished and your sorted.
