  3. Mon guys proper rare and starlet fitment and not 800quid or something daft Phil
  4. get a specific thread up, be good to try and track that down. you could fire a bore scope down and have a look at the piston tops. not full proof but wisecos are usually pretty standard. Phil
  5. Yeah I do use it competitively yes, but have logged temps on longer trackday events etc without issues (so long as the coolant is well cooled) Do you not have any idea on the pistons then? Wonder was there a build thread by the original owner somewhere? Phil
  6. No oil cooler no, temps all seem good. What pistons are you running? Will really determine your best move with hg Phil
  7. I don't know pal. I don't see much more than 90 now but I'm running plenty of radiator. Surprised you don't see more than 90 tbh, but stranger things have happened. What caused the headgasket blow? Usually it's high temps that does them in. But If not it could be det which would be bad bad news with expensive parts in the block hopefully you get her sorted. Phil
  8. Are you running a full or half sizes radiator? My own experience is that cooling a 4e on track isn't as easy as you might think. Fan flat out, low temp thermo, high pressure cap all do nothing to curb the temps. 2mins flat and they are through the roof and not coming back down. That's like a lap and a half or not even. Big radiator and some decent airflow at it Phil
  9. That's a reason to change gasket no doubt. But not a reason to change thickness really. Any idea why your having the issues? Phil
  10. Dished / lowered CR pistons in there? Id recommend leaving her well alone on less you've a need to change. Phil
  11. Great stuff Looks like your enjoying her for sure 👍 Phil
  12. Nowhere near if I remember correctly. It's still lower than standard compression. Phil
  13. What alloy spec has the highest silicone content? Phil
  14. Cheers folks Got sorted locally Phil
  15. Super Very streetable And you can keep it on song nicely round the track even easier Phil
  16. I didn't take to long to do mine. Maybe should have taken longer but haven't had any real issues Phil
