  1. Haha exactly and the exhaust valves are even more hassle than I had anticipated with shrouding proximity issues. Will see how I get on without valves. Might get abit of work done valve guide seat etc Phil
  2. honestly the 265degree cams transform the car. maybe its not everyones cup of tea, but the engine has less engine braking, and more top end grunt. i enjoyed driving my old gt with cams, alot more than without, engine ran free'er rev'd harder mid to top. i know that a with a td05 18g they put all the power way up there and no i dont think that is ideal for the road. But with a reasonable sized turbo td04 or td05 14b as ramses mentioned, the cams compliment them great, makes power right to the redline and get pickup after 3k without losing the kick in the pants top end.
  3. they can order them in alongside all their 3sgte stuff. just ask him. Phil
  4. great-buy-guy is or is part of Alamo. who a lot of UK sellers stock from. your 100% right, very trust seller. for big parcels of kit and the regularity that he ships to Europe i doubt he would mark value down for anyone or he would be put out of business. Piston rings granted, well they arent worth much firstly and secondly customs arent going to know much about their value or care. But big branded parts are customs bread and butter. Phil

  9. Hi folks I'm going to get my block cleaned up and ready for bolting it all back together. Question is, should I have the block decked, or if it's flat just leave it as is? The block surface seems to be flat bar the two waterways/oilways that protrude. So when you get your block decked do you just cut that pipe work out? Does it pull out itself? Phil
  10. I think he got sorted was talking to him earlier. though i didnt sell him anything Phil
  11. Fuel cut is determined by Map sensor reading iirc so is an exact voltage rather than psi or bar cant mind what it is though. boost creep is your biggest enemy when trying to avoid fuel cut on a modded 4efte. 0.8 is the ball park i think Phil
