Yeh I'd be up for that I'm not too far from you guys. Would at least want my custom 4-2-1 on by then though
-
They're good fun and pretty decent for little 1.3's aren't they just die up hills though
-
Are you getting yours dynod any time soon?
-
Ah that's a cracking idea using those existing holes. There's bags of space in these bays isn't there. Well when you consider my golf is 140 (ok it's diesel) but if my starlet had that much power it'd be a little rocket and could take on much bigger things than NA 1.5's. Well I hope I get about 100- the 95's ran a few upgrades including a different ecu so I dare say 100 ish will be the max.
-
Ha I couldnt stand it- such a shame they didn't sort these SR's properly. I thought you were getting the turbo fitted in July?
-
Ha ha fair enough. I'm only thinking small power too- 140 tops on all standard Glanza parts. But thats pretty far off in the future so for now it's 4-2-1, Corolla inlet, panel filter and then an emanage- should easily see about 100 with that. Well hats off to you for trying something different I like the SC idea it's just finding the right set up and having it neatly installed. Either way I'll keep reading and look forward to the updates
-
Totally agree but it's finding a decent sc set up isn't it because like you say it hasn't been done much in the past. Love itb's too but they seem to be a little tricky to get running nicely. I'll be going for an emanage on a tweeked NA set up first to see if these Corolla manifolds really do what we think as well as the other bits I've done. I think 100bhp would be pretty fun these uk cars seem quite restrained from the factory when you consider what the 95's are running standard.

Hmm maybe with the gold wheels it won't ha ha but we are similar on a lot of other stuff I've been and spoke to a guy about a custom 4-2-1 too and am going back on tues to finalise the plans- it too is going back to the tte pipe. It's at a custom hot rod place in Andover so not what they usually work on but the guy seemed really keen on doing it. Did you still want those door cards mate? Or did you buy those 98 spec ones?
-
Our cars will be pretty much identical soon ha ha
-
Thanks for clearing that up mate. I love them but as mentioned they just come out too far on my speedline but will be awesome wth other wheels
-
Hi mate nice few mods there. I wouldn't bother with any aftermarket intake on these, just a k&n panel filter will help nicely. But if it's induction noise you're after then I guess it's a different story

As below

Still got a lot to do on that one. Finally I'll be making a replica of this ratted land rover from a battered corgi toy I got years ago. Already cut the roof off to use as the tailboard for the VW
-
I've got two other projects on the go too. The first is making a ratted stanced VW flatbed. This is how it looked before I found it at a carboot sale when I was a little lad. Mine had taken a lot of hammer so again I'm not bothered about pulling it apart. Here it is just mocked up with the new wheels but again I'm waiting on the axles. The wheels will have a black centre.
-
When I was a kid I was too scared of taking anything apart and didn't have the means to do it anyway. But now it's pretty fun and over the years I've bought old toys and fixed them up then re sold them. I rebuilt my original Thundertank that never used to work properly lol had to take loads of photos after I got it opened up as it was pretty complicated for a toy.
-
Lol I'm not a tech I'm meant to be a clumsy VM ha ha. Thanks mate just a little bit of fun that stops me spending too much money on the starlet!

So recently I've started to dabble with hotwheels/matchbox customisation after seeing this hotrod on speedhunters. I thought it was cool as hell so decided I wanted to make my own. We are all big kids at heart but obviously as a kid I never had the tools to do this So after a lot of searching I found the base car he used. I ordered another random car to get hold of the rubber wheels I wanted. With each build I try not to ruin anything rare or in decent condition. I put the wheels on but the stance was all wrong. I ordered some piano wire to make new axles from. in the mean time I

I think for the work involved i may aswell just boost it at some point.

Looking lovely mate
-
Cool that's what I wanted to hear. Yeh I e never looked into the differences that's all
-
What's the difference between the two mate do you know? maybe it's easier just to ct9 my engine lol. To be honest i should be pushing 90+ with my corolla inlet, panel filter and custom exhuast manifold mapped on an emanage. Do you think i'd need to go bigger injectors?
-
Ah as if!- so it'll be repped by the weekend then? ;)
-
Totally agree mate. How hard do you think a 5e transplant would be and what power do they run?
