Vturbo

Ahh sweet man thought it would be an issue, was thinking sealant but yeah il pop down the local one tomorrow and see what's up

So today I fitted a hybrid, all was good until I filled the car up with Coolant and I had a water leak, pretty sure it's where I undone this blanking plate when I rotated the turbo slightly.... Any ideas on how to deal this without a oem gasket as it's going to be a little while before one can get here Cheers!

Has anyone got any tips for removing a seized mani stud, the thread ended up getting stripped undoing the nut, having a mare getting it out!

I have been trying to get a mani to turbo stud out today it's being a fecking pain!

Used the last few hours of today to remove the turbo and swap a few bits over to the hybrid..going to crack on in the morning...

I see what you mean, anyway I bought a tongs hybrid as my ct9 wastegate was badly cracked..il see how that goes! Thanks for the input guys

Yeah, the wastegate is quite badly cracked too so that's probably not helping. I'm running a blitz access so fuel cut isn't a problem, it just creeps quite high In the last 1k of the Rev range which probably isn't too healthy

So After years of running the EFI pipe, I I installed a front mout filter. Now according to my gauge, it's creeping up to just under 1.3bar on my gauge,in third gear at 5krpm I was under the impression it would only really creep to 1.1, had a bit of a play about with the actuator and ported the wastegate. It's helped a bit but not a great deal, ideally I would like to run 1-1.1 bar....just to add I'm running decat/screamer, full exhaust, blitz access ecu. Any ideas how to solved this? Apart from external wastegate..any input is appreciated

Would you split the gauges as I only need a boost gauge?

Has anyone got a decent boost gauge for sale?

Yeah thanks for the input, just not sure about taking the whole unit off unless completely necessary, as I say the head has been welded don't want to disturb it too much

I just wanted to know how hard it is to split the turbo from the mani while in situ on the car..I want to leave the mani on the car as I have had the head welded around one of the studs so don't really want to disturb it and end up with a facked head again..any advice will be appreciated

As above need a washer bottle pump as mine is leaking! Let me know if you have one
