  1. I would personally if you can get it home drain the oil check for metal bits in the oil or take the sump off and check for metal bits in the bottom of the sump, not good if this is the case bearings are fooked I know this hence why mine is going through a full engine rebuild as we speak or course turned out my oil pump was shot, on the bad side it's abit of money to spend on the plus side I will have a full engine rebuild by the end of it as I have brought everything 😁
  2. If I'm correctly right mate it's the knock sensor oil sensor is around the front below the exhaust manifold
  3. I will have it jamie mate please will transfer the money tomorrow evening pm me payment details please mate. Thanks Pat Dam it been after one of these blue ones for ages grrrrrrr
  4. I do agree with all over you here, nothing better then seing a 1.3 wipe the ass off some highly expensive motor, 200bhp is enough for me, even though that still costed money to get it to it let alone 300bhp + but like the topic of the convo states all boils down to a bit of paper with the queens head on
  5. Oh dear didn't realise there's even more people now out of pocket, I managed to get my stuff on the end but still feel angry that people have payed for things and not got them.
  6. I'm happy just having a 195bhp in the GT on a CT9, someone please correct me if I'm wrong here, but going forged means big power obviously so time you forged it, then a td04/td05 set up sorted, a decent ecu aswell, and put mods on the engine to support it etc then uprated brakes etc the list goes on, what we talking here 3/4 grand spent? Maybe more? Don't get me wrong would love a forged starlet running 300bhp + some on here are absolutely metal but spending that sort of money on a 1.3 IMO I would rather put the money to something like a pulsar and sale the starlet as it is
  7. Bump oil pressure and oil temp gauges 👍
  8. Been looking at these Hastings piston rings and you can get different strengths etc anyone know what the best one is to go for or just stick with the cast iron ones? also still waiting for that link please so to know the right ones to get. Thanks Pat
  9. I agree mate he was very helpful at first then suddenly went quiet for over a week but was still logging on I hope whatever it is it can all be resolved
  10. Very true mate his prices are very good but a simple reply to say I can't post till.....etc etc or I haven't had time to remove the part etc when he read the messages and didn't reply when I already payed for the parts I have lost trust now in buying things of people on here no disrespect but it only takes one person to spoil it and no one deserves to be left hanging when they have earned that money.
  11. Hello mate I finally recieved my new brake pads I brought of him but it took over 2 weeks and a good few messages keep asking him what's happening he was reading them but never replying in the end he did, which is a shame really as I got a fantastic set back and front for a BARGIN price but something is not right there I hope yourself and everyone else gets there parts as I must admit its a very harsh feeling when there's a chance that the hard money you work for might be for nothing.
  12. That's a very good answer thankyou Adam mate really appreciate it all I need now is the link to the rings I need the Hastings ones
  13. Can I ask (silly question) which is more likely to be stronger or be better or how much Bhp it can cope with etc sorry for the dumb questions at least when it's all done it will be a good strong engine that lasts
  14. Yes I plan on doing all that mate but just need to see if the pistons do have movement or not and if they do how much not getting a lot of info about it at the moment
  15. Thankyou for that info mate but am hoping they last for a good few years not hoping after 6 months they will need checking again? But I see where your coming from have you got a link aswell for them rings so I can have a look please.
  16. I will do bussey mate won't be down the unit where my startlet is till the weekend or next week but I will as it's bugging me like crazy to know if it's right
  17. I have spoken to someone at yours idrees and thankyou mate
  18. Still in two minds about changing my piston rings while the head is off the car, after checking them Rob H did explain to me in this post which I posted up below..... http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/77037-piston-movement-in-bore/?fromsearch=1 But I'm still in two minds about the whole thing maybe I should get a video up of the movement in the bore just in case it's normal but on the other hand if I do have to get a new ring set which are the best ones to get for standard size pistons, I can't see how the slight pistons movement in the bore isn't normal when compression test showed all
  19. Thankyou for the info there Adam 👍 gonna stick with the oem one will get one from id-workz
  20. Only Liam_D can answer this Azz as I sent two turbos off to him the first one I sent is the one which went on the dyno making 195.7 Bhp but soon after it was shagged was a 2nd hand one anyway from dodgy bloke on eBay telling me the same story no smoke or play
