  1. right explanation it is then....had a big discussion with a top tuner in the UK, and this was the outcome:- The best possible exhaust for a four stroke engine is a large bore straight piece of pipe which is cut to the correct length. The reason it needs to be the correct length is because pressure waves (caused by the exhaust valve operating) in a pipe always cause and are greatly effected by acoustic harmonics (like a pipe in a church organ)â?¦ If anybody ever complains "I put a big exhaust on and I lost power/torque" this is because the exhaust designer didn't do the harmonics calc's
  2. exhaust looks great mate...and yeah angled looks awesome...proper jap
  3. Once again...its a myth...back pressure is a load of bull...its to do with the "harmonics" of the exhaust Nice progress by the way mate Rob
  4. back pressure is all bull, its a myth and no one belives it is...its not the diameter of the exhaust that loses you the power its if the "harmonics" of the exhaust are wrong.... I could explain in more detail, but thats simple.
  5. thers is no point putting bigger injectors in a completely standard engine...and like enzo said, standars are fine up to a decent power figure..
  6. awesome mate... nice to see a pic... You told me about this on mkiv And i really didnt know you were that young aswell...good on ya!
  7. that would be insane...his doors are already pretty damn light i can image the vid now when they were shaking them and they were flexing lol!
  8. i think when you upload it through your pc onto the site..it resizes it for you if its too large...it says under the change avatar section on your controls So just upload a high res photo...
  9. very nice cant wait for pics..but im sure ill be round when si's GT is all finished, so i can see it in the flesh!! Rob
  10. bourkeys idea sounds good... Also...just be very carefull...in pics you post..blank your number plates etc..and also be wary about saying your location, as this is a public forum...someone can easily find out the area you live in, and what you no. plate is
  11. i tryed it, as well as scutch0 when he had his n/a I think your right about the imoboliser and ICV..but its a bit of both i think.. On scutch0's, he didnt have an imoboliser, and it wont even start.. On mine, as i have an imoboliser it started fine, then cut out after about 5 seconds...you could of kept it running on throttle tho..which makes me think its the ICV Rob
  12. happy b'day mate.. and agree with enzo..toshiba laptops are pretty good ;) Rob
  13. yes...but on a massive single..one BOV doesnt really work that well..hence why he is getting turbo stall
  14. well...that supra in the vid, has a massive single on it..and that noise in that vid is turbo stall.
  15. Cheers for the comments guys.. Anyways..some little pics..off the phone, will have to do a proper little shoot sometime! Rob
  16. man that really sucks Feel for you mate..
  17. Nice big update :D Finally....the car is back up and running the gearbox and clutch was all finished off today...and i recieved the bonnet and bumper from steve on friday...so that was also fitted... The bodywork is basically done...just a few touch ups needed - little bit of paint has cracked in the corner of the bonnet...tiny hardly noticeable scuff on the rear bumper...and as some of you may or may not know..a couple of months ago when it was still being driven..some pikey keyed it. so that will be sorted next Corolla ecu didnt work...idle for about 5 secs, and then cut out...could it
  18. cheers...yeah hope so aswell so then this Twin TB's can start, and it may also need to be used when si's GT is being built.
