  1. Cheers lads it's coming together slowly. Cheers Liam I have no history on the engine or turbo so that's handy to know! Turbos getting machined as soon as , then it will have it's final check over, then MOT just in time for some good weather
  2. So I arrived back home and got straight into the starlet , the first job was to get the turbo housing swapped over. Now I was told I had a hybrid but I never really believed it as there was no paper work , however swapping them over it's obvious I do as the housing that was broke has been machined and the new one doesn't fit. Size difference between old on the right and new standard on the left
  3. Ah right I see now so by lowering it or increasing it , it would take the usual few miles to learn what's going on so it's pointless to change from one setting to the next while driving ! Makes more sense now cheers for that see what I can push out
  4. Cheers Adam that makes more sense but I'm running a jam ecu shouldn't that control the fuel regardless if I lower or higher the boost ?
  5. Sound, nice waste of money for the controller then haha
  6. Ok , and this is why im asking the question so in reality the boost controller is pointless then if you are going to run full boost constantly
  7. just different level settings so il run 0.8 with the boost controller off 1.0 on low boost 1.2 on high boost then there is a scramble boost controller that can be pressed and it offers a set boost for a set period of time. Obviously the different boost settings effect fuel efficiency etc so for traveling to work I can just change it
  8. cheers for your comments but il be setting them all a different boosts lol
  9. When your running a boost controller with options whats the point running them all the same?
  10. haha cheers for that was awaiting someone to say something stupid
  11. be no use to me mate pm me and if it turns out that I do have two pumps can sort something out for the second hand one if you want
  12. I cant find this in the search section so don't shoot me if its been asked before but. Currently running a forged engine , hybrid turbo, fmic etc etc Il be fitting a boost controller with obviously hi/low and a scramble boost controller with an additional setting This gives me 4 settings to do and at the moment im running 0.8 with the boost controller off . Any suggestions on what boost to set for the other three?
  13. I may have a fuel pump as I think mine already has an uprated one and I have bought one so If that's the case you can choose from either and we can sort a deal
  14. Swap my turbo housing find and fix boost leak put in 255 fuel pump fit HKS electronic boost controller fit HKS scramble controller fix the handbrake GEO set up MOT TAX And done haha, only a few things should have that all done in a day and half then next month ive got an RRFPR and zisco fuel rail with braided hoses to go on
  15. Good stuff no problem mate, now I need to get home and do my own haha
  16. oh yea? have a word with Keith hes ridiculously helpful
  17. All the short route pipes I've seen go the other way mate ? See it on the bottom left
  18. that's what I was thinking maybe last resort is putting I slight dent or heating and bending the pipe obviously last resort or try short route pipe
  19. yea theirs two that hold the bracket on then two that hold the actuator just loosen either and see if you have some room to play
  20. That's not good is it , can you not loosen the bolts to were the actuator mounts and see if it moves out the way any ?
  21. That's strange shouldnt touch it ? I have a short route one so I don't have this issue try get some pictures up mate
  22. be careful you need to take your turbo oil line off and hoses to the water lines , I broke my oil feed and nearly fucked up my engine when coming to start it
  23. so you need one vac pipe going from the turbo housing to the actuator any vac pipe will do. as for the other vac pipes just remove them mate trace them round its not hard to do io cant get you any pictures as im not in the uk lol
  24. Yea I have just one from the turbo tho the actuator. If the old actuator is in then it uses a T piece for the HI/LO boost controller in the car but if you put on a hks actuator you only need the one vac pipe and you can remove the HI/LO mechanism. That's what ive done
