    synchromesh mine does it in second if you match the revs though or drive slow its ok. mine doesn't whine though whining is bearings. If your bearings go that's goodnight gearbox

    Cheers mate I build rather big oil and gas structures so im no stranger to stripping down motors etc however when it comes to something like this im a bit scared to undo something then it needs balancing etc if it is just a straight swap then boom easy fix. cheers for the reply mate

    So this is what my current turbo looks like and wanted to change the housing for a new one , is it a simple job or will it require more than just replacing the housing. It seals fine but looks gash !!

    I've just sent my recording to my mate who used to own the car and he says it's always sounded like that so I'm just going to leave it for now and let him drive it when I'm back just to double check

    sound I have a spare turbo hahaha mines slightly more high pitched but im running higher boost than stock
