I havnet fitted it yet, The pics are of the guy who i bought it off when it was fitted in his, i paid £400 for it but new there like 8-900 i think maybe bit cheaper not sure will be fitted in mine soon and ill get some pics up

So That is basically where i have got to with my build, i am currently just finishing off the prep work for it to be painted inside and out by a friend of mine Cosworth Blue then will be fitting all the parts. I have purchased A lot of forged parts that are being sent over from america and have some good ideas on what i want to achieve i am currently talking to a company near my area who are known tuners and hopefully will be getting some pics up soon of the build etc but till then ill just post pics of the parts that will be fitted like pistons and rods lol hope you enjoyed so far keep your

After doing all that i had done my car decided to have an oil leak which started off slow and gradually got worse and worse to the point of one day driving with a mate my alternator belt was slipping and snapped in the middle of know where, managed to get the car home but again car went to the garage to be sorted and ended up being stripped down to replace seals and water and oil pump and new belts including cam belt and a full service again oil change etc. Here it is on it way. After fixing all this and making sure all pipes where correctly connected, no leaks etc my radiator decided

As it was a front exit exhaust i decided to it to a full exhaust system and underseal it at the same time. Then my head gasket decided to Go not sure if it was due to the back pressure of the exhaust or it was on it way out, but soon after realised that none of my boost pipes where connected to the wastegate so car was overboostin by far to much which is probably the main reason it happened. luckily it was the head gasket and not the bottom end. While i had the head gasket fitted with an athena, i decided to have ARP bolts fitted due to wanting to go forged in the future also had a f

so here goes sorry for the late uploads been busy with work and working on the car, This is how the car was when i first bought it engine bay was a mess, manifold was basically a mass of poorly welded bits and just needed an overall tidy up. (As you can see in this pic the bonnet catch is a mess so what happened later in the thread isn't a surprise)

As the topic says is the turbine wheel the same size can I rebuild a td04l with a td04 turbine wheel as I have a badly damaged turbine in my td04l

Car failed mot on a few little things so haven't had it back yet to start this thread properly, Needs a New Rear wheel bearing and the parking brake is stuck once its sorted ill get some pics up and start this thread off.

Ok i have just spoke to my builder and they said they will run the engine to make sure theres no leaks etc before putting it in the car, then they will run it in for a while on there Dyno which can only be mapped up to 250bhp anyway then they said they will give me there car and let me finish in the running in process and then once its fully ran in to take it to some where with a bigger dyno to get the final map And i see the car on TGTT I'm basically following his build lol and the company seem really good and helpful

So basically just plug all the loom back in and run it at the setup it was on just not run as high boost? A company Called KAD (kent auto developments) they build racing mini's and track cars and have built a few forged 4EFTE's before i just supply the parts they build, there local to me which is what i mainly wanted due to oil changes and them knowing the engine etc. Any advice?

I am going to get my car forged in the near future and i have read the running guide by a few a different people what im confused on is at the moment my car is mapped to 1bar on EMB, once the engine is forged and put back into the car do i run it on the manage blue at 1bar or do you unplug it and run it off the standard ecu? or what I'm confused .TIA

Hi i am going to open a blog here on my starlet I've had it for a year bit haven't had the funds to actually get properly into what i wanted to do with it since i have had a new job i have started to get the funds together to do what i wanted to do which is Forge it strip it put a Cusco 7 point roll Cage in and basically Do as much as i can to it I will keep photos coming when i get the car back from the garage as its having an MOT once i get it back the works will commence ill keep updating as i go along.

No I dont really see any blue smoke but I do have blacked out window. Which probably doesn't help why did your car burn oil what was the problem
