Hahaha never! well tonight i spent a while carefully nibbing any tiny dirt nibs out my wheels and keying them up for there second load of laquer! Prepped my mirror caps and plate surround And fuming aint the word! If you sand anything to bare metal it will need etch primer mate so the paint will key to the bare metal

Get your self some panel degreaser mate also known as panel wipe should clean your primer up no problem also good for cleaning off excess sealer of your sealing anything up
