£17 for 5L of of Toyotas Red coolant - best stuff to use really. Quick job really; don't use the bleed nipple just take the bottom rad hose off as its much quicker! Drain all the coolant, change the thermostat, fill up slowly with new coolant. Let it run for awhile with the rad cap off and bleed it. Done

Not aimed directly at anyone; well maybe Cal! lol Him saying his 306 dturbo was unreliable and he had to spend lots on it doesn't mean that an R5 will be equally as unreliable just 'because its French. My brother had a 1.6 306 for 3 years and never had a single problem so by Cal's logic I can therefore say that all French cars are uber-reliable! No! But yeah, if you know people that have had R5's you have more experience, so fair enough!

Maybe let previous R5 owners comment about reliability ? And not reguritate stuff you've read on Wikipedia!

Whats your car at the mo? It'll be fairly "nippy", never driven a 1.3 N/A but I'm sure it'll be quicker than a lot of 1.2 Puntos/Corsas etc. My old 1.2 8v Punto did 0-60 in 15s! Haha

You can make it "look" like that if you're going to put a 5E-FTE in it with EP85 4WD or GT4 running gear, paint it matte black and use it as a track slag. If not, please don't! lol

Mmhmm, when most of our cars are bordering on being 15 years old a good service can make all the difference! Most will be down on power due to lack of servicing, its not too expensive and you can do it all yourself. Well worth it! Yeah the 4E-FE looks like a pretty good engine, seen 100HP out of one with a few choice mods - not bad going! Can you not just head down a scrappys and pick up a Corolla mani? Or are they off some uber-rare Corolla model thats a pig to find? Boost is fun, I want more though

Will the entire Paseo shaft and hub assembly not fit?? Or is the lower arm, steering tie rod etc. different on a N/A? That way you can keep the bigger Paseo brakes/calipers.
