This whole thread makes me lol. On paper the R5 loses in terms of 0-60, 1/4 time BUT if you look at the original post all the bloke says is that his mate bought an R5 GTT and wants to race his Micra, err, I mean Glanza. For all we know hes running 200+hp and would rape the Starlet! We need more info y0! -
Your getting a EP82? You legend! Welcome aboard the awesome ship that is GT ownership! I want more pics.

GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!

Is it just me or does anyone elses N/A Starlet...

You guys should make some proper cold air boxes with really good cold air feeds. Fuck sound, its all about performance! This sorta shit: -

My 4EFTE sounds like a V8 -
Pour a bucket of hot water over her, call it a day.
-
Don't bother, itll just get dirty again super quick! And you'll freeze to death...
-
Cheers for the price, but managed to find one for less! Thanks anyway
-
Or go for an externally wastegated setup; should help.

Looking for 1 x front wheel bearing kit for a 1994 EP82. How much am I looking at delivered? Thanks.
-
Why are you sure you'll hit fuel cut? Will you have air filter/exhaust/de-cat? You can avoid fuel cut by porting the wastegate, introducing a restriction to the intake or exhaust (standard CAT back in, or standard air box). I'd say set your actuator to 0.6Bar then use your EBC to raise it to 0.75 - just below fuel cut. Also an aftermarket manifold will help slightly I found. If you want to run 1Bar then you will need a FCD, but you'll also need to ensure the additional boost is being fuelled for correctly. This requires a RRFPR. You can use this FCD/FPR combo but its crude, I would suggest
-
If you make 190hp on that setup I'll eat my hat. Especially considering you are only using a FPR/FCD combo, fuelling isn't going to be great! Let us know what you make atw, and torque! Thats what I'm interested in!

What hp does a 5E make? -
170ish @ 1Bar imho. Let me know what torque you get, my GT was a torque-beast at 1Bar (made 160hp and 185lb/ft).
-
It is different for N/A and turbocharged engine. With a turbo charged car, the less back pressure the better - you may suffer from boost creep though.
-
You really don't want to be running 1.1Bar on standard mani or TMIC mate. At 1.1Bar the tiny CT9 will be getting very hot, not to mention the restriction in the 3rd runner of the std manifold! I'd lower it and get a FMIC and uprated mani before you do any damage! I'd also recommend a de-cat to help free up the exhaust gases.
-
Looks good. But why do you have a Sard FPR? And what boost you running it at?

£90 for my front exit! -
I've secured my 4point harness to the rear seatbelt bolts. Like so: Pretty shit pics; but you get the idea! lol

Looks very nice mate! I think a good cold air feed and cold air box would be a nice little project and not only look good, but make a bit more power!
