Chinese wastgates are known to leak. Weld up the wastegate and run a decent external on a chinky turbo and will be fine.

Well theres so called storys of them ruining engines but I know plenty of people who have ran them no problem

Wouldnt smash it if your running on breaking in oil. Would do at least 300 miles then service it then put the hammer down

Yeah I know a few the z20let boys who have ran chinkys a lad I know has mapped a few with good success your best going externally gated though the actuators are weak. If I was gonna go gt28 it would be a chinky turbo for sure. Out of curiosity who you know who runs a let? I used to mod on AOC awhile back before z20let lovers killed it haha

I couldnt buy anything "new" haha everything I get is 100% retro I like the idea of freezing it in time for when it was built. Also its a nice challange to find all the stuff to make it feel kinda modern haha.

Cheers guys! Will start wiring it in shortly bought some decent speaker wires but think there gonna be too short will see soon enough. Theres no room for a sub in the car really. Got the amp under one seat and the jukebox under the other and the CD changer in the boot along with cleaning gear ect. wasnt going to get a amp till I found out the jdm headunit doesnt take the rear speaker plug hahs.

I am keeping it oem+ with the items I got. So far got jdm stereo, a retro jdm amp, jdm speakers and also hooking up a jukebox to have 80GB worth of songs connected to the headunit. The amp going under the passenger front seat to keep the boot free and tidy. If I was to mange to pick up the rare speaker door pods I would amp up front speakers. But as it stands the fronts are fine off the headunit

I not sure what power outputs the amp has I am sure the headunit can cope with the little things on the front and use all the amps power to power the rears

Seems your stuck just like myself. Thanks for all your help I will mess around once I got it all installed and such and see what does what. Sure it will sound great once all fitted only reason I got old one because its JDM

Front speakers are ran via the headunit. No sub not gonna get one either. The speakers are the jdm parcel shelf ones like so yeah was gonna rca cable to the amp but my main concern is the speaker wiring. I need to find a way to bridge the front and rear channels. Because if you look theres a way to put one speaker on each channel but need to know how to bridge the channels. Thought you had to wire the channels up with speaker wire? Or something like that

Yeah I wouldnt fit a ebay one Get a good one and my advice would be to get a AFR gauge also

Mines fine without 4 bolts and its strong and handbrake is on fully tight in the photo

I need some advice for my new amp. I only plan to run two speakers in the rear but not sure the right way to hook up the speakers. its a 4 channel but as you can say it says front and rear I wish to use all the channels to power the rear. So what are my options please. Also you can see I have lots of options on the top. Anyone want to give me some pointers to whats what. Thanks guys
