anyone had any experience with the camskill oem discs? they worth getting for standard road use? http://camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m19b0s1298p4281 these ones.

I'd say the starlet, although i'm the kind of person that'd hate to be in debt. bear in mind, as soon as you drive the clio out of the forecourt its lost thousands straight away, but you'll be paying more die to the finance. id say go for the starlet, then you have plenty of cash to get a good one, insure and run it. possibly even mod it if you wanted to.

ill just run across the road to my neighbour who's a snap on dealer and nick his stock ta, saves plenty cash haha
-
just stop spending money on it? the most ive spent on mine is on an exhaust and dump valve, yea id like to do alot more to it, but the car runs fine etc so modding it isnt a priority, id rather have spending cash and my car, rather than modding the shit out of it and being skint, i still enjoy driving it every single day so thats the main thing to me. but thats my opinion lol. (ps. if you do get rid and break, dibs on the splitters ;))

might be swapping my glanza for a civic jordan

how will owning that save money though? if it needs tidied up, that'll cost money, plus the extra insurance, tax and fuel costs. doesnt seem logical if its a money thing. i get that the starlet needs a whack thrown at it now, but in the long run it should still be less than the civic? -
Right, getting a few things sorted for mot and just to tidy it up a bit. first up, Brakes - need new discs and pads, but not sure what to go for, will just be purely for road, but still not sure what to go for, either grooved etc or just oem replacements. was thinking this combo - EBC discs and EBC Pads (can also get camskills own instead for nearly £50 less) or, grooved and dimpled discs but not sure what pads, any thoughts? also, my clock keeps going out, i know its just a loose connection but is that a dash out job? or can i just pop out the clock? and....finally, bulbs f

that happened to me once, was going into a car park and two police officers came over, ended up giving me one of those asbo things, where if i get caught doing something stupid within a year they'll take the car off me. my aunt works at the police station in that town, and apparently the officer said i came along the road at 50mph+ and handbreak turned into the car park, where as if they actually saw me they'd know none of that had actually occurred, i was stopped at the entrance for 5 mins because of pedestrians. police are arseholeeeees.

http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....showtopic=30451 is that what you're meaning? -
i dont know your budget or if its a forged engine you're after, but theres a tmd one in the for sale section with low mileage. failing that tried trawling the breaking section and see if theres many?

high pitch noise from turbo ????

no mine doesnt suffer from that. there is a chirping sound on tick over though, turned out to be the oil breather, but i've just left that. -

mine does this too, but only at very high revs, like not far from redline. its just like a whistling sound, sounds like air escaping somewhere or something. -
got the jperformance and its fitted now, its fecking huge compared to the old one. only thing that concerns me about it is that it seems to be pretty low down by the front end of the car, its scraped on one or two bigger speed bumps.

those wheels make me wish mine were 15s, it looks amazing on them, over winter you'll have to get them taken off of the car though, my equips are now slightly fucked due to the weather and not being able to wash them. but i dont know any decent refurb places about here all the stuff i read on here about the jam/blitz etc ECUs make me want one badly haha. ps. if you ever decide to get rid of the equips let me know!
