Hello as some of you are aware I've owned my Sr for 18 years now and it was my first car unfortunately the fuel tank is starting to leak and Toyota are the only place i can get one as you can imagine the price is eye watering , i really love this car i drive it everyday the MOT isn't due yet and it will fail on this do i was wondering if anyone had a decent second hand one or point me at the right direction as i really don't want to get rid
-
Has anyone got a fuel tank available for a 1.3 NA they are willing to sell?
-
35 bought it when I was 18 still own it
-
Yeah looks like that one but Christ that's expensive least pikeys had some nice genuine item upgrades making it worth 2400 for me that white ones a grand overpriced realistically these cars are 2400 top dollar its only a hand full of people like us who will pay that aswell Yeah looks like that one but Christ that's expensive least pikeys had some nice genuine item upgrades making it worth 2400 for me that white ones a grand overpriced realistically these cars are 2400 top dollar its only a hand full of people like us who will pay that aswell

I've seen that silver one aswell my guess is if its not sold for 1500 its obviously not worth it , I know mines worth nowt with 138k on even though its really tidy , pikeys sr was my favorite on the forum , mines coming off road mid next year for a overhaul in a year or so after as it will be almost 20 years since I bought it as a treat to myself as Il be almost 40 , id rather store it for a few years than sell it for peanuts
-
Yeah mines silver was very popular in the late 90s on a plus side it hides the years well in terms of scratches etc but black ones do seem to hold their value, id keep it if that's possible see it as a investment
-
I'd say 2k pos a tad more I love the sr but realistically it only us members on here that appreciate them id pm pikey see what his sold for
-
I saw this aswell makes yours look like a bargain ,but in fairness from the pics looks clean enough prob 1800 from a dealer seems fair

Well after all these years of being trouble free bought when i was at 20 years old im now the wrong side of 35 my little Sr needs some surgery the bubbles on the inner rear arch are a little worse than I thought its only 3cm on inner lip that's gone as caught it early enough mot tester spotted it though she passed as usual ,im 100% fixing it after 15 years together just wondered if anyone else on here has had minor arch work done before on a starlet ?

That's a shame sometimes we have to make comprises, just a thought though I have a celica 140 and its a great compromise between fun and being economical regularly get over 400 miles a tank and its one of the best handling cars I've owned admittedly its lowered 35 mmm though yeah its no gt4 but remember your making a compromise here I drove from Sheffield to Penzance on 2/3 of a tank its 350 miles that 6th gear ratio is so long but still fun on b roads good facelifts can be had for 2.5k now uts just a thought mate as I had to sell my type r for something more sensible and I don't miss it at a
-
Ahh that's great mate , gave mine some TLC today good clean etc nipped to motor spares and someone asked if i was interested in selling it when it was new no one looked twice at it! Glad you got the result you was after so what's next?
-
Great news hope this is going to a good home I cant tell you how many times I've ummed and arred over this car sadly didn't have the space, good cars always sell👍
-
Oooh of those 4 id choose the accord type r I'm sure Mazdas are 500 quid to tax unless its pre 05 but your Sr is lovely id turbo it
-
Or smiths twisters venoms closest rivals remember them !! Ha ha
-
That looks as fresh as when I picked mine up with only 6500 miles on it from pentagon Toyota, personally I'd keep it put the miles on it and enjoy, how do you know the next owners won't ? I wouldn't just like other members wouldn't ruin it but as I have a daily sr and a mint low mileage Celica and at 35 I've got to stop hoarding cars seriously glwts find it a good home Il lose faith in humanity if someone glanza reps this one ,this is one of the cleanest Sr's on the market
-
My favorite sr hope this one stays within the club I'd love it just can't justify having 3 cars 4 inc the other half's ,keep it you will regret selling it☺

Even older fag packets and tin foil ,in fairness mines held up well better than clios of the same era and it's been driven everyday since I bought it, but for value for money track cars Clios are a excellent choice two friends had them only had minor electrical niggles
