I'd say 2k pos a tad more I love the sr but realistically it only us members on here that appreciate them id pm pikey see what his sold for
-
I saw this aswell makes yours look like a bargain ,but in fairness from the pics looks clean enough prob 1800 from a dealer seems fair

Well after all these years of being trouble free bought when i was at 20 years old im now the wrong side of 35 my little Sr needs some surgery the bubbles on the inner rear arch are a little worse than I thought its only 3cm on inner lip that's gone as caught it early enough mot tester spotted it though she passed as usual ,im 100% fixing it after 15 years together just wondered if anyone else on here has had minor arch work done before on a starlet ?

That's a shame sometimes we have to make comprises, just a thought though I have a celica 140 and its a great compromise between fun and being economical regularly get over 400 miles a tank and its one of the best handling cars I've owned admittedly its lowered 35 mmm though yeah its no gt4 but remember your making a compromise here I drove from Sheffield to Penzance on 2/3 of a tank its 350 miles that 6th gear ratio is so long but still fun on b roads good facelifts can be had for 2.5k now uts just a thought mate as I had to sell my type r for something more sensible and I don't miss it at all
-
Ahh that's great mate , gave mine some TLC today good clean etc nipped to motor spares and someone asked if i was interested in selling it when it was new no one looked twice at it! Glad you got the result you was after so what's next?
-
Great news hope this is going to a good home I cant tell you how many times I've ummed and arred over this car sadly didn't have the space, good cars always sell👍
-
Oooh of those 4 id choose the accord type r I'm sure Mazdas are 500 quid to tax unless its pre 05 but your Sr is lovely id turbo it
-
Or smiths twisters venoms closest rivals remember them !! Ha ha
-
That looks as fresh as when I picked mine up with only 6500 miles on it from pentagon Toyota, personally I'd keep it put the miles on it and enjoy, how do you know the next owners won't ? I wouldn't just like other members wouldn't ruin it but as I have a daily sr and a mint low mileage Celica and at 35 I've got to stop hoarding cars seriously glwts find it a good home Il lose faith in humanity if someone glanza reps this one ,this is one of the cleanest Sr's on the market
-
My favorite sr hope this one stays within the club I'd love it just can't justify having 3 cars 4 inc the other half's ,keep it you will regret selling it☺
-
Even older fag packets and tin foil ,in fairness mines held up well better than clios of the same era and it's been driven everyday since I bought it, but for value for money track cars Clios are a excellent choice two friends had them only had minor electrical niggles
-
I'd say around 1400-1600 quid with standard wheels sr's are one of those cars you love or don't know what they are small market for them ,obviously I love them as I've had mine since 2000 we all know you don't get money back on all modified cars oh the joys eh sell the wheels separate would be the best option I think ,but it looks very tidy by the way if your in no rush aim high you just never know

I'm not actually going to this one but for me the 2 that stand out the most are Andrew Bayer and Eli and fur , though cannot fault above and beyond they do excellent live sets ,not fussed on Armin lost his edge after 2010 went to commercial , but there's no doubt that's a great weekend line up
-
No matter what car you decide to get insurance is gonna cost you so for the sake of 200 quid either way I'd get the car you really want , paying all that for a car your unsure about just doesn't seem worth it
-
I recognise that back ground if that's a dealer acting in a different name a close friend bought a s3 off them a few years ago and it needed a bottom head rebuild ,thanks for heads up
-
Mmmm 20 mins away from me
-
I currently don't have side decals on as had doors blown in last year and it still gets attention it's on around 133k works a 6 mile round trip I reckon I'd need to spend 1500 to get it up to a decent standard paint , wheels etc passenger door has a few car park dings only see in certain light yet whole of drivers side is mint, if I spent all that I wouldn't want to drive it and that's what I love about it ..driving it

Modern cars all look the same every model in their range look like squashed and stretched versions of each other that's why Il always drive older cars , I sort photos out this week lads they are up in loft then Il polish her up and get some current ones least I know she's 100% original few battle scar scratches my sister did on bumper not deep though other than a missing tte back box it's all there even original number plate This threads making me want to take it off the road for some TLC
-
I have yeah I've not got a photo bucket account so Il sort membership out and do it that way there proper photos though so it will be a photo of a photo from the week I picked it up , great cars aren't they Il definitely have another was your first one black do you know it's whereabouts?
-
Oh and have either of your black ones in a heartbeat both stunners

There aren't many SR's left at all and most probably don't even look like SR's anymore. Lots do get modified and it's a shame as most mods are bodywork related- start of being minor but as soon as that Glanza rear bumper goes on it usually ends up a full rep but each to their own. Mind you mines not exactly standard but the miles wern't low enough otherwise i might have not touched it at all. Most of my mods are under the skin though and don't affect how the SR differs from a normal car. I want to creat the SR Toyota should've made so that's why i'm using Glanza late spec interior etc. Black's my fave colour as black 91's in the country are either SR's, Glanzas or Reflets so it's a rare colour.

Exactly my point right there ^^^^ To be honest I don't give a toss if a twenty year old drove the same car as me I'd say good choice sir , but to make a strong comment like saying were all kids ragging cars needs backing up with evidence, that ep3 was a decent car but never have I been called a chav boy racer etc etc so much in my driving life and witnessed such childish behaviour off other owners trying to race me in their ep3 all with civic owners club stickers god I sound old , but there's a bloke round corner who drives one who's in his fifties which proves my point , now where did I put my rs bonnet vents.....
-
I've had a ep3 myself and found the forums very childish but i wouldn't post it on the forum itself , the starlet forum has been absolutely fine I'm no spring chicken either at 35 I'm looking at getting a glanza end of the year I've owned the sr daily over 15years and has served me well
