Right i dont really know where to start with this one .... after a brief ownership of a suzuki swift in 1999 as a youthful 18 year old thanks to dad i made my mind up it was not for me , id seen a few black starlet SRs at meets i decided i had to have one all my friends had vtrs i just wanted something different so i saved and saved in 2000 i walked into pentagon toyota Rotherham with 7k in cash and bought a silver starlet SR with only 3000 miles right time right place lucky me , used the car for 8 years and passed it onto my sister who also cherished it i always drove it at least once a month then 6 years ago i got the call im getting a new car the starlet is yours again , twenty years on and i still have it , last 3 years its been sorn i always promised my self for my 40th id restore it to a decent standard , so today i bought a battery and it started first time at the first attempt in over 2 years . It needs some work passenger door is rotten along bottom and its missing the tte exhaust and arch decals but overall its solid, ive got every receipt in a folder of history its booked in on 14th july for a MOT wel take it from there get it through ,then get it on ramps and look at bodywork im under no illusion this will be cheap its gonna cost me Heres some pics also this SR had AC as standard making it rarer than most photos taken today

Although I haven't bought an item off yet as I'm waiting to hear from a more local breaker first to save the hassle of postage his communication has been superb photos sent etc not pushy at all and really helpful even though hes aware I may still buy the one I can pick up a genuine nice guy and example to ukstarlet owners

Hello as some of you are aware I've owned my Sr for 18 years now and it was my first car unfortunately the fuel tank is starting to leak and Toyota are the only place i can get one as you can imagine the price is eye watering , i really love this car i drive it everyday the MOT isn't due yet and it will fail on this do i was wondering if anyone had a decent second hand one or point me at the right direction as i really don't want to get rid
-
Has anyone got a fuel tank available for a 1.3 NA they are willing to sell?
-

I've seen that silver one aswell my guess is if its not sold for 1500 its obviously not worth it , I know mines worth nowt with 138k on even though its really tidy , pikeys sr was my favorite on the forum , mines coming off road mid next year for a overhaul in a year or so after as it will be almost 20 years since I bought it as a treat to myself as Il be almost 40 , id rather store it for a few years than sell it for peanuts
-
Yeah mines silver was very popular in the late 90s on a plus side it hides the years well in terms of scratches etc but black ones do seem to hold their value, id keep it if that's possible see it as a investment
