Hello guys i am having the same problem. my fuel light is saying on even when my tank is full. ive removed the fuel pump unit and and tried to test the thermistor i put one probe of the multimeter put it on the green wire and the other on the black one from the floater unit and i am getting 20 ohm i took a small container fill it with fuel and submerge the thermistor completely in the fuel an it still read 20 ohm. i recon it should come to at least 1 kilo ohm. so my conclusion is that if i manage to open the canister and remove the thermistor and replace it, this should solve the problem but there is another issue i dont know the the value of the thermistor inside because its faulty. can any one test their working low fuel gauge wire with reference to the ground of the floater and check what is the resistance value when the light is off. And anyone who can shed some light on this please.
i know someone who changed it on an AE86 and the value was 1Kohm (AVX 1Kohm NTC thermistor,10s 3.5x3mm (Dia))
but i dont know if its the same for glanza.
Thanks

Does your fuel rail have a pulsation dampener where the feed line comes into the rail?
no it goes directly to the fuel rail, on the other side there is the fuel pressure regulator and the return line goes back to the tank. on the return line you don't feel the pulsation, its only on the feed line. the rubber bit from fuel filter to fuel rail.
Thanks

Could possibly be pump cavitation
do you think a fuel pump replacement will solve the problem. ive never changed the fuel pump since ive imported it.

Hi Guys,
Im getting a weird pulse noise inside the cabin on idle, when you the open the bonnet you cant hear it but if you hold the rubber pipe from the fuel filter to the the fuel rail you can feel the pulse anyone have ever got this problem before.
No fueling mods. only fuel filter replaced with a 'crossland' brand.
Thanks

Just an update guys the old thermostat was stuck open it was like bend. replaced it and temperature gauge goes halfway and stays there now. dont know about the fuel consumption yet . will let you know after using a full tank.
-
hi guys,
Got the thermostat today gonna change it soon but guess what i think i found something interesting that might be causing the problem. i found a leak on the vacuum pipe on the fuel pressure regulator. what do you think guys will this cause more fuel consumption?
Thanks

I can vouch for the traffic in London haha. I used to get around 300 in mine with mixed driving.
300 miles or km

Could always check for ecu codes. See if anything else is flagged up. Can be done on your drive in 5 mins.
A good service and check of all the simple things wont go a miss. Timing, compression check etc will let you know if anything else is wrong.
The o2 sensor could cause over fueling which is something id consider replacing. The other thing that may cause it is the ecu coolant temp sensor, but usually this shows other more noticable symptoms first so wouldnt worry about that.
how do i check the ecu codes?

I do mostly city driving (you know how London is like lol). longer drive will be on a dual carriageway (A406, A12, A13) that's it. so 300 km will be 186 miles, that crap compared to what you are saying. do you guys think the thermostat is the only culprit?? Ive just ordered one from ICP, fingers crossed i get it before weekend

Okay, will do that asap, does your temperature gauge goes halfway and stays there? and also how many km do you get with a full tank on a stock glanza v (only mod is k&n universal air filter and HKS Bov)?
Thanks Guys

Ive checked the ecu, its not aftermarket

Its Manual Mart, Ive notice something Gainzy, When i drive it normally the engine temperature needle stays like 1/4 or below doesnt go 1/2. do you think my thermostat is gone or its the cold weather?

Hello guys,
I have recently imported a glanza V stock, but i am a bit concerned about the fuel consumption. i am getting 288 to 300 km on one full tank. i was just wondering if you guys are getting the same millage and if not what can be the cause of high fuel consumption?
Thank you Guys.
