ok guys got one for you that i cnt figure out when i accelerate the car pulls violently to the right, then wen i let off the accelerator it pulls violently to the left ive just had the tracking done, so weather they have cocked sumthing up i dont no but any ideas as to wat could cause this?

im using the 4e throttle body with the 5e inlet mani. hmmm it must be a vac leak sumwere. just dont no were

just dropped my 5E in and it runs perfect apart from it idles around 2000rpm wen up to temp. i have checked for any air leaks and cant find any, have also wound the adjustment screw all the way in and still no luck wat else could cause this?

i did this a while back, just nipped down to local scrappers and grabbed one off a starlet down there. it shouldnt be to much to worry about. just get it sorted asap.

it LIVES!!! after many long weeks of rain rain and more rain, finally got some motivation with this sunny weather to finish off the transplant. It wasnt as straight a swap as i would of liked, there were a few problems and things needed swapping from one engine to another these being :- side engine mount, gearbox mount, gear linkage mounts, solenoid, thermostat housing and the throttle body other issues i had were that the throttle cable is slightly too long (still trying to figure out how to solve this) but took it for a test drive yesterday and it seems to run perfectly, feels much mor

no not had chance to strip it down and look yet, but it got left out in the rain the other day so its a bit rusty now haha and no ryan, used the 4e ecu and loom

update checked the timing , it was about 3 teeth out as we thought. so sorted it and low and behold...... SHE LIVES :) however theres quite a serious vibration giong through the car, think a mount might not be right so gonna take a look when the weather improves .

ok so i read on autodata that the engine IS an interference engine, but have been informed recently that it isnt, so i just wanted to clear this up does anybody have an opinion on this? is it or isnt it?

personally i think u shud do it with a roll bar in the back with massive spot lights on top ;) kinda like a hilux or sumthing
