it sounded awesome and yeh a little, it felt more responsive on throttle and less lazy

think it was around £40 i think cant remember and yeh it just bolted on top of the carb in place of the air box

used celi as thats all we have used before, meant a lot more rubbing down afterwards but is worth it, anyway on with the build had a tidy up of the engine bay and also ........

lol this thread reminds me of when i had my old ep70 and i was parked up at side of the road and an undercover cop car pulled up at side of me and they asked me what car it was because they didnt know haha mega lolz

when i had mine i got myself a KandN air filter from demon tweeks if that helps

you didnt put diesel in did u ?

it either sounds more like a timiing issue or choke issue maybe? checck all your vac hoses are still on and ok and then id suggest checking the timing belt and seeing if its still timed up correctly

could be piston rings, the usual way of telling is if it only does it when cold its valve stem seals and if it does it all the time then its most likely piston rings

how u got on mate? did u find out what it was?

no mate, and if its what i think it is they arent essential they are just their to cover the strut up, wouldnt worry to much about them ;)

Dont do it! i did it to my ep70 and ended up in a ditch on a road i knew like the back of my hand and was going slower round it than i had before i cut them. just buy some lowering springs

does anyone have anything useful? gonna be attempting to wire mine into my remix this weekend, so could do with a hand

yeh id get the full kit, and whilst your at it change your alternator and power steerin pump belts, did mine not to long ago, its prett straight forward aslong as u do it right, there is a guide in the how2 section that u can follow, i used autodata but not everyone has that so yeh ;)

just had a read through mate, its looking good, will look even better with the castrol graphics on i notice u from preston, where bouts? im in darwen so not far, will need to pop down and have a better look ;)

i think it was standard on one of the 4wd models, not to sure its a genuine toyota bumper anyway

just an update with the remix been sprayed today and finished spraying just needs rubbing down and polishing up ;) also had a set back with the fog lights, for all those that wish to know 96 SPEC FOGS DONT FIT REMIX BUMPERS!! i had to find out the hard way so purchased some 98 ones and they should be in the post soon not long till its on now
