    Alternator chargers the bat ??? U mean hit the starter motor as that wat engages to the fly wheel to start the engine . If u hit the alternator it will do Nothing

    Sounds like it bud what u need if got one get a volt meter and put it across the battery and see if it reads 14.5 volts that way will show that the bat is being charged by the alternator
