You could probably get temporary cover on it
-
depends if it needs welding or bolting on
-
and where the hell did you find them for a tenner, I can only find them for £25
-
Let me know what it's like when you've got it fitted mate, if this auction I'm watching for an Apexi goes over the price I want to pay then I might consider one of these.
-
It definately made a difference for me but I have a rear one aswell.
-
I paid £25 delivered, I live in the West Midlands and it came from Scotland, postage was only two pound something.
-
I wouldn't pay more than £25-30 for one mate
-
Yeah you can definately feel a difference with it. I advise getting a rear one aswell though. And yes that's the one.
-
Yes it will fit, I have one. What I've done is unbolted the fuel filter from it's bracket thing, put it infront of the brace between the brace and the rubber air pipe, and get a bit of folded cardboard or foam or something between the filter and brace to stop them rubbing. Job done.

Is it just me, or do all N/A drivers get this...

What size wheels do you have though, wrong size wheels will affect the speedo aswell as having a dodgy speedo lol -

rick you noob, read properly I said, it doesn't feel fast, until you look at the speedo and realise you are doing a fair bit of speed I'd fucking love to go in something that throws you back in your seat -
we blatently need a "UKSC Babes" subforum
-
Are there any alternatives to this, as I don't have a drive or garage and I definately do not like the idea of getting out the extension lead and a hairdryer and going out onto the street with it

chester road, haha nice, the road next to the one I live on is called chester road (in kidderminster) -
might aswell add this here too, I want to get rid of my sportif stickers, I've tried picking them off as you would with a normal sticker anywhere else, but they just wont budge
-
This always happens to me, dunno if it happens to anyone else - when you give it some beans it doesn't feel fast at all, until the point where you look down at the clocks and realise you're doing 80 when you thought you were only doing about 50? Or you're just driving along minding your own business no trying to drive fast or anything, but then you realise you're going alot faster than you intended to? I think the Starlet gives a really false sense of speed I'd love to have a go in a properly fast car, just to see the difference.

Sam you're under age only when you are 16 can you use the 16-40 rule
-
I know, I added it all up last night and with the total price of the silicone joiners and the different pipes, you might aswell just buy a fucking ready made full kit you aren't saving anything. Your engine mods are the same as mine then, atm I have NGK plugs, NGK leads, and Corolla intake mani. Maybe I'll just ask the plumber at work if he can get me some 3 inch PVC pipe, and a long 90 degree bend lol then I'll wrap it in heat reflective tape and job done
-
yeah it does help So you just drilled a hole into the pipe and stuck the sensor in? I think I'll do the same then. What improvements did you see over the standard airbox? Or I could just get this pipe, stick the breather pipe to it http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Apiro-Aluminium-Allo...oQQcmdZViewItem and drill a hole for the sensor
-
That's pretty much what I'm aiming for kevin, but I think I'm going to keep the bit of rubber pipe that's between the airbox and throttle body so I have somewhere for the air breather and air sensor to go. And also I'm going to move my rad so the filter is actually exposed from the front. It's good to see other people have done it though, where did you get your pipe from? I've seen loads on ebay, I think I'll just get mine off there.
-
You haven't seen his mom have you?
-
Well it turns out I wont be going for cheapy ebay filters anyway Just had a phone call from the last job I worked for, they've asked for me to go back So I think what I'll do is do the same sort of thing, but do it with proper piping, and a good filter buy a K&N Apollo

No idea, Yahoo auctions I guess
