  1. thanks mate, but they said on the phone that their computer thing doesn't tell them what it is, it just gives them numbers and they put the registration in and it tells them what model car it is and everything, so I need either the part number or just know which models the clear lenses came on (glanza?) and yeah, the £27 is WITH DISCOUNT, lol, for that price I'd want it to be made out of gold
  2. £22 apparently But they're saying £27 for one of them...
  3. As I posted a few days ago I wanted one of the black plastic trim things that go across the top of the roof. Well my dad called them up, and they said £27.72 for ONE of them, £27 for a bit of plastic, f**k that. So now I'm going to try looking round scrapyards or something, but seeing as Starlets are quite rare I'm not really sure if I'll find some. (although it gives me an excuse to look for a rolla mani while I'm there) And could someone tell me which models actually came with clear indicator lenses, so that I can get those sorted aswell. Thanks and sorry if it's posted in the wrong place but wasn't really sure where to post it.
  4. so does ours I had to stop myself from laughing when I went in because I heard someones conversation and their last name was C-u-n-d
  5. somehow I don't think that would work
  6. Take it for a test drive then, check for signs of wear and all the rest of the usual things.
  7. what the hell? that much for two plastic strip things? I'd rather go without it if it's that expensive
  8. err how did that happen
  9. If it was me I'd keep the Clio or sell it and buy something else (rather not have a french car personally), because looking at that Glanza I think it's probably been thrashed and badly treated.
  10. is that a dent on the rear drivers side?
  11. I'm fairly certain the little boot spoilers were optional because mine has one but I've seen a ton of Sportifs that don't have them.
  12. I could have told you, but we went down there, waited half a f**cking hour while they spoke to some other bloke, then after all that waiting they said no sorry the parts thing isn't open today. But, we did find a quiet little industrial estate so I had a drive round there, until some stupid little 13 year old kids started hanging around. 2 and a half months to go
  13. I'm going to get some clear indicator lights in a couple of hours, but the other day we had really bad wind and somehow it managed to blow one of the black plastic strip things off (the ones that go accross the roof), my dad found it in the road the next morning. So I'm needing a new one, it looks odd without it. Also while we're here, how much do indicator lights/bulbs usually cost?
  14. nvm
  15. It's more like a "ball" shape if that's what you see it as. These pics can be found in the EP91 N/A Builds section: Standard - http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb10/vr...es/STA70864.jpg 'rolla - http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb10/vr...es/STA70865.jpg
  16. While we're on it, where's the best place to get those plugs and leads from? (best meaning cheapest)
  17. Thanks alot Phil, I swapped round the wires on the amp and it worked, but p2d it seems that you are right aswell, funnily enough I had another amp, which works. Time to annoy the neighbours... well, the whole street each one worked seperately but not together
  18. **just so nobody gets confused this is audio for in the house, not in the car, since I'm guessing people will think I'm talking about car audio** And sorry if it sounds like I'm talking a load of rubbish, I don't really know what I'm doing to be honest. I've been given some speakers (nice big ones) an amplifier, and a graphic equalizer. As I said, I really don't know much about audio but I am fairly good at working things out. What I'm trying to do is connect it all up to the computer to play music from the computer, but obviously the stuff is designed to work from a CD player or something, (or in this case a tape player because this stuff is like 10-15 years old). Anyhow, I've got some computer speakers which came with a subwoofer, which has the red and white things to connect the speakers (computer speakers) to. What I've done is took the computer speakers out and used these ports as a way to connect the computer to everything else. I did manage to set it up and get it working but it would only play through one speaker. This is how I've got it set up: Computer to subwoofer subwoofer to equalizer equalizer to amplifier amp to speakers It all works, the equalizer works and the amp works, but the sound only comes through one speaker. If I swap the speaker wires round, it plays through the other speaker (which shows that both of them are working) but it will only play one at a time. So my guess is that it's either something is wrong with the amp, OR it's something to do with how the computer plays sound. I'm probably talking a load of bollocks but help is appreciated. Remember it's for in the house, it's not car audio
  19. Also helps to know what car you have, and if you know anything at all about engines...
  20. Oh, it's actually a real model like the ones you buy in boxes and glue together?
  21. Considering the Supra started from the Celica line why don't you go back to it, a Celica with a Supra 2JZ engine and some bodystyling to make it look similar to a Supra (things like the rear lights and a similar type of spoiler, just little things that you can compare to the Supra)
  22. Well mine was on the back wheel but I have a feeling the front one is buggered too, so I'm just going to replace all of mine when I service it in a few months.
  23. I had this "noise", and it was a wheel bearing, I got a new one now the noise has gone.
  24. I'll have a look at anti roll bars, haven't read much about them really. As for the springs and shock absorbers, do they have to be GOOD ones, and around how much are you looking at for some decent ones? What about strut braces? Do they make alot of difference? Worth buying one, or maybe making one? They look fairly simple, I've seen other people use "home made" ones, so that could be a possibility, and I do have some engineering knowledge (did a course on engineering while I was still in school). Anyhow thanks for replies, I'll go and read up about anti roll bars
  25. I don't really know that much about handling/suspension, although I do know the bare basics of it. Well I've seen it mentioned a few times that Starlets handle like poo, and I've felt it myself, going above 60mph round bends (me being a passenger) it does feel as if there is no grip and no weight holding you down. Lower profile tyres and getting more rubber on the road is the first thing, which I'll have in a couple of weeks when I buy alloys+tyres (currently on standard wheels and tyres). And then of course there's lowering. Fairly straightforward. But what after that? I know of strut braces and things like that, but exactly how far can you go with handling mods, what would be sensible point to stop at (considering the power of the car and other things like that), aswell as how much it's all going to cost. How much of a gain would you see from tyres+lowering+front (and maybe rear aswell) strut braces? Remember this is for an EP91 N/A, (not sure if the Glanza has different suspension/handling setup as standard) which will probably have some minor engine mods in the future (corolla manifold being the main one). So basically I want to know what handling mods are needed to get fairly decent handling and around how much should it cost, or a better way of putting it; I don't want to spend too much but I do want some improvements.
