It also depends on the size of the exhaust pipe. I can't remember what exhaust sizes Starlets use, however the below is the general consensus with a GT-Four. If your running say a 2.5" system with decat then you should be fine and not suffer creep. However running a larger bore 2.75-3" with a decat will usual see some boost creep. If you are getting creep than either: 1) Stick the cat back in. 2) Fit a restrictor ring in the exhaust system. 3) Putting a bung in the tail pipe (like a nur spec) may help. 4) Hybrid or Garrett turbo. 5) Get an external wastegate.

Don't know, they were on when I got the car!! On mine they look like a straight swap over, don't know bout a Starlet though

Ive got GAB 4-way adjustable shocks on the Celica and it handles like a dream, obviously this isn't really going to help as you have a Starlet but they seem to be spot on IMHO

When I had my GT it would idle quite high so unplugged the IAC valve and it would idle a bit lower (for a second or so) and then stall. I just sprayed a very small amount of carb cleaner into it and plugged it back in, seemed to idle alot better after that.

Standard vs standard you should cream him over 1/4mile. However I raced a few down the pod with my Starlet, about 140bhp and I was running low 15's and getting trounced by R5's running low 13's!! But these were far from standard!

When I had my Starlet I got pulled 5 times in 6 months!! 1. A random stop check. 2. My mate wasn't wearing a seat belt. 3. Speeding, il own up to that one! 4. Excessive accelaration out of a junction 5. Stopped for .........."expelling compressed air" yep I got stopped for having a dump valve!!!!!!

GTI-R's are silly quick, my mate is on his 3rd! 1st one he had to sell when he couldn't insure it. 2nd one blew up. 3rd one is now in bits....................after blowing up. As said gearboxes are very weak, buy one thats had a Quaife unit put in. Body panels are flimsy. Brakes are s**t....................very s**t. Get a good one though with around 350bhp and its a Ferrari killer down the 1/4 mile. However running costs are extraordinary at that power level.
