  1. what so you dont get hi and low? if the pipe goes from the actuator to the turbo how are you getting hi and low boost?
  2. tutorial for a rrfpr http://homepage.ntlworld.com/dub.se7en/TGTT/RRFPR.pdf boost gauge is easy mate do you not allready have a boost gauge?
  3. connect the pipe straight from the actuator to the turbo so hi/low is disabled then see what happens if it is still over boosting the actuator might be fooked
  4. 34 is just fuel cut mate, not really sure what could be causing error code 42, what are your engine temps like when the engine light comes on?
  5. i' be proud lol, always nice to have a one off of something, cant say i know of another with a different carpet in, I'm sure it's been done before but i certainly haven't seen any pics...so nice one
  6. ^^^ true you must have something you have allways wanted to do? now is the time to do as you have absolutly nothing to loose all you can do it gain from this point on
  7. that's a bit better, cant say red and grey go particularly well but if you changed the front seats i think it would look pretty awesome. a big well done anyway mate always good to do something different if i had the time or money i would love to change my carpet in my car it's a bit tatty
  8. make the pics bigger cant see it very well looks good none the less just need some red ek9 recaro's lol
  9. x3 I wanna see what this looks like, you could make a mini business out of it my carpet in my V is buggered! lol
  10. nothing wrong with yellow stuff pads there good, but so are the 1144's if Al wants really good pads he needs to find some ferodo pads. he definitely needs braided lines and good brake fluid if he wants to feel a big difference.
  11. were is Al anyway? havnt seen him online for a while.
  12. naaaahhh lol, there is huge debate over the possible consequences but it's only air lol i personally i cant see what harm it can cause, my dump valve is blocked off and many many high performance cars run with no bovs, so if they can do it running over 1.6bar of boost through a huge turbo i'm sure the ct9 can handle 0.8bar of boost through it. some people will go argh it fucks up the bearing man! argh it's like the blades are hitting concrete from the pressure of the air coming back through the turbo! it's bollocks don't listen to them it will be fine
  13. exactly what you said mate, depends what you want...chatter or no chatter? with the evo spring in it wont dump until you get around 1bar upwards of boost, so if you arnt gunna run that and want the bov to dump you will have to put the softer spring in it. hope that help mate
  14. if you realy want white wheels i'l swop i'v allways wanted bronze lol
  15. Right i think i have actually found the problem with my car! after replacing the injectors, resetting the dizzy timing, playing with the throttle idle, replacing the distributor and doing another diagnostic test it has thrown up error code 14 (ignition/amp) so i have replaced everything apart from the coilpack and dizzy... so i have sourced a second hand coilpack (thanks to the ledge that is Jay) and will order a new rota arm and dizzy cap together and that should be the end of all my problems!!!! it's weird but i am actually happy a fault code came up lol, the last time we tried it didn't s
  16. yeah dont go white it looks gay! if you wanna see white wheels on a black V look in the link below to my build thread
  17. either way at some point you will need an ebc to control the boost level so if you sell this now you will just have to buy another again at some point. generaly ProfecB's go for around £150-200 but i dont no alot about them so i cant realy say
  18. cant beat a sweet looking black V! welcome to the great black V crew lol
  19. as above, the ebc will give a smoother stronger boost curve over the actuator on it's own. sell the fcd keep the ebc easily sell the Jam FCD for £55 not sure what the ebc is worth though
  20. do it cheap do it twice mate. and EBC is a electronic boost controller it allows you to set the boost level manually those manifolds on ebay are autobahn and will crack in a week of driving there shite! if you want a good manifold get a mild steal one of one of the traders either on here ot toyotagtturbo they wont crack and will give better gains. if you want 160 bhp get: Full exhaust Decat Manifold Front mount intercooler Up rated actuator and maybe EBC that will see around 160 I have a EBC for sale if you are interested http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....showtopic=19255
  21. yep, so if your actuator was 0.6 you cant go lower then that but can set it as high as you want...so you could run 0.8 low and 1bar high etc just cant go lower the the actuators 0.6
  22. if it's that cheap and has had a few owners all that i would be worried about would be the condition of the engine. exterior and interior cant realy go wrong, CV joints, wheel bearings etc all little things that can cost alot would be on the list to look out for. just have a realy good look round the engine and any noise or knock question it.
  23. you set the actuator to the lowest i will go (on the hks it's aroun0.5-0.6) then on the EBC you set that to the higest boost level you want. e.g. with my HDI ebc-r i have my actuator on 0.6 so with the switch off it's at 0.6 and with the ebc-r switch on it will boost at 0.8 as thats what the boost controler is set to. with digital ebc's you set both the lowest and highest boost setting from the ebc and switch between the two but remember you cant go any lower then what the actuator is set at. hope that helps mate.
