  1. Looks absolutely mint mate. Engine bay looks completely standard and has low miles, great start point. You'll have plenty fun with it!
  2. Cool, must visit it sometime when I come down in a couple weeks lol I went to a drag event held at smeatharpe last year, was pretty good. That place in Middlezoy sounds good, never heard of the place actually!
  3. Looking good mate, its that at smeatharpe I take it? How often is it open? In my piccy, thats outside my house in Bristol lol. Does look a bit like priorswood though yeh.
  4. Just a few days into its new ownership, best pic I have so far:
  5. Well firstly, halfords in taunton probs are the only place for decent products so going there is your best bet at the mo really. Also, meguiars make very good products (a lot of stuff that AG dont make yet), I use loads of megs stuff as it got me into detailing and its easy to get hold of. For the same sort of money though, the internet has so many better products so when you're able to purchase online you'll have loads of choice.
  6. Very well put, sometimes I wonder if there is much/any point in spending huge amounts on these products. But when I see the results they have I feel it is justified. I don't compare my cars finish to anyone elses, sometimes its dirty, sometimes not. I just like seeing a brilliant finish and a well kept car. Most people on here love there car to bits, they're enthusiasts. I don't see why spending money and time detailing your car should be any different to the time, blood sweat and tears, money and effort we spend on modding them. The reality though is that most people have more important thing
  7. ;) Go and say at detailing-world forums, would be like setting off a nuke! lol
  8. I have a garage ;) lol I finally took the time today to fully detail the Glanza. It had already been polished the other day so I detail sprayed it, gave it a good going over with the electric polisher and Srp, then I gave it the Supernatural Wax treatment, looks beautiful! I'll try and get some decent pics tomorrow if the weathers good. ;)
  9. Polishing is a tiring process when done by hand, be prepared to work up a sweat. You don't need to push srp in really hard, but it does need working to break the ingredients down and make them work properly and bond to the paint. Go easy on how much you apply, a little goes a long way and srp will leave plenty of white residue if you go overboard. make sure you have a microfibre cloth to buff it all of once worked in. You can layer srp up, the more you layer, the more shine you acheive as more filler is applied. If you have the time and patience, leave a good 10-20 mins between layers for the
  10. Nice review mate, I fitted one of these the other day, works a treat! Nice to feel it pull past 6k its as if the turbo has had a new lease of life!
  11. Spot On, very true. Its like the old saying, you can't polish a TURD! If your paint has swirls and imperfections inflicted by improper cleaning (using a sponge mainly), no hand polish such as Autoglym will remove them completely, they simply mask or reduce the appearance them. Most polishes dont do shit to remove scratches or swirls, even T-Cut (which is a nasty abrasive and could do more harm than good in the wrong hands). As Alan says, if you invest in a session with a pro detailer, they will correct your paintwork properly using high quality and reliable compounds via a machine polisher.
  12. No probs mate, glad to help.
  13. For your car mate, defo Super Resin Polish (SRP). It contains light abrasives that gently remove swirls and and cleanse the paint, it also contains fillers which sink into the imperfections of the paint to give it the shine. Ultra Deep Shine, that is less of an abrasive and more of a filler designed for darker paints like black. I wouldnt bother with it on anything much lighter than that. Plus if you use Extra Gloss Protection on your car, it doesn't bond to it as well as it would with SRP. I still have SRP in my detail bag and I think its the best product that AutoGlym make without a doubt.
  14. HolyCr*p, thats looks fantastic. How the hell did they get a 76% Carnauba content? I thought too much made it almost impossible to apply?
  15. yeh, its pretty simple, no need to completely remove the dumpy, just keep the vacumn hose connected and unplug it from the intercooler hose. Then find a tubular solid object that will fit into the intercooler hose bit and clamp it up, Job Done! That way, you can pop the dumpy back on whenever you feel like it, all you need is a pair of hands or at the most a flatbladed screwdriver if you are using a jubilee clip.
  16. lol, that is fairly pricey. Still, cheap as chips compared to Devine and Royale! Is it gonna be a contender for the £***** waxes?
  17. I haven't heard anything good about such products. The marketing jargon makes it sound great, but most professional detailers will strongly advice against using them and consider them a waste of money.
  18. You have a good point there. If Dane is free this weekend, my Decat is going on then, at which point I will get the wastegate ported. Rick - It seems there is a conflict of opinions on what is safe to run on a stock setup! I'm not creeping over 14psi (.93bar) and its only reaching that when the revs are pushed high. It does feel pretty good though, the way it creeps up as the revs go past 5k, feels like it hits another powerband! I'm suprised how well the stock Ct9 keeps boosting. Can't wait to get the W/G ported, decent mani and decat on, will then be a different animal hopefully.
  19. I had/have a Blitz SS: Worked well, and sounded good imo. However there was always one bov that I wanted. Now I have it, the coveted Greddy Type S lol. It took a trader on here two months to source one from Japan but it was worth the wait. Does the job well and sounds sweet, you can change the way it sounds (simple dump to dump-whistle) with a quick adjustment. Very happy with it. I'snt too loud or intrusive either. However, like others have mentioned, I have also blocked off the dumpy tube and am enjoying a bit of turbo stall for a change! Think the Greddy's getting connected up again ton
  20. Yeh, I've heard things about this Crystal Rock, how much is it? I nearly bought RG 55 instead of Supernatural, maybe when it runs out! Applying by hand I totally agree with, much easier to judge where and how much is going on, plus it doesn't waste any .
  21. Awesome combo, cant argue with that. How long has it taken you to learn paint correction work mate? Was looking at the G220 kits the other day and they looked tempting. Can't remember how much BoS is (£150 ish?), how is it to apply and remove? The only "decent" wax I have is supernatural, pretty happy with it so far
  22. AlanD knows his stuff. Swissvax are up there with the best. No one has mentioned Zaino products though. Many professional detailers use Zaino kits and produce amazing results and many use nothing else but. The ultimate polish, no question: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/zaino/zaino-...h/prod_468.html However, if you havent got shedloads to spend on detailing, Megs and AutoGlym will do just fine.
  23. Sounds like a good plan. I'm running 12psi (0.8bar) atm, but its creeping to .9 (14psi) when rev'd high. I think it should be ok as I dont bring the revs up high very often. When I get my decat on I may port the wastegate to help stop the creep.
  24. Very Nice G mate. Makes me want coilys so bad now! Keep it up the good work by the way, how did you find taking off the original cat pipe? Was the O2 Sensor a nightmare? I have a Japspeed Decat pipe ready to go onto mine but am hesitant to do it myself.
