  1. Yeh man, a hybrid is a great investment if you want to stop that creep. The E-01 just looks mint, so many features and adjustments you can make from what I've read, plus I love how its another big fancy gauge, makes the it feel more like you're driving a machine of purpose than just a car.
  2. Thanks, a lot of people seem to like it in black. It is indeed mapped for a K1 which is lucky (Stage 1 Blitz map). I am told there are 3 main blitz maps for different turbo setups, the other two being a K24 and TD04/5 I presume? I've wound it up to 14.5-15psi, sometimes it spools to 15.5 psi then settles (15.9 psi=1.1 bar). I'm happy to let it nudge 1.1 but I dont really want it creeping over that. My manual boost controller really is pretty shite as you can probably tell! I'd love the E-01 like yours wallace, whats your impression of it?
  3. hehe, you might get to feel what its like soon mate.
  4. Cheers buddy, the lips growing on me too!
  5. I hope so mate, at the end of the day figures are figures, but it would be nice to feel I've reached that mark. However if I don't, I will not be displeased! Its feels savage now :harhar:
  6. Cheers man, despite what people have said about these ecus I think this one was well worth the money. Obviously a mapped up standalone might eek a bit more out of it, that might be something to consider in the future, but for now the blitz seems more than capable. The standard ecu felt a bit all over the place with all the mods on, now it pulls consistently, uniformally and very hard! It feels like an animal now tbh. Now the fmic's installed the car has everything needed to theoritically reach 200bhp. Only time will tell how good the ecu is though as I'll be getting it on the rollers very so
  7. Shimanishit that was a quick reply Sparky! Yes if only, I would be down my local carphone warehouse stocking up.
  8. I received this package in the mail today, the Nokia N73. This should see me closer to 200bhp than I've ever been. Not really. this is what was inside! I'm still running it in so havent had a chance to give it a full verdict, but first impressions are Oh My God! Will update later
  9. lol, Yeh I cant wait to get back to a bar. I just hope this Blitz Ecu runs well. My last Ecu was a Jam racing one, and didnt run as well as it should have, I think this was because at the time I had a topmount which was getting very hot! (Topmounts often become inefficient past 13psi on a ct9). The stock solenoid restricts boost to .4 bar in 1st, .5 in 2nd and .6 (full) in 3rd onwards as far as I can remember. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Another problem I have at the moment is my boost controller. Its a dawes device (which is supposed to be superior to a bleed valve). However the boost
  10. Yeh will do man, I hope this one lasts! I've heard mixed opinions on running 1.1 bar. I think when its on the rollers I'll see how much extra power can be had out of the extra .1 bar, will help me decide whether its worth the risk!
  11. hehe, Blitz Access Ecu mapped for a K1 on the way! Should be here next week Will see how it goes at 1 to 1.1 bar, I will get it RR'd to check the afr and power output shortly after. Do you think this is a safe boost target? The turbo is designed to run 1.1 bar consistently. What do you reckon mate?
  12. Cheers man, its all coming together finally Yeh you were right about the splitter, much happier with my new one as its plastic rather than fibreglass. Thanks so much for the info on the fitting, that helped loads. Credit went to you on my review of it on tgtt in danes feedback.
  13. I know what Roman road's like mate, not a place you wanna be around for too long
  14. It's already scuffed and no it probably wont be long! lol I've already have scuffage problems with it on speedbumps etc as I installed the coilovers after I took the first splitter out.
  15. No probs mate, I owe you big time Heres the new splitter I collected from Nwimie last night, I'm trying to decide whether I love it in black or hate it lol. What do you guys reckon?
  16. lol, ask and you shall receive! I was suprised no one had snapped it up before me as it was mentioned on Soops thread He got a load of pms from peeps but I got in there first apparently. A lad was supposed to be picking it up yesterday but failed to show up, his loss I guess lol. They've got come nice glanzas up there, one has a spanking white Hrf front bumper, looks mad! I asked them about splitting a few bits and bobs but they didnt seem too keen tbh, I'm suprised they didnt realise what a mistake they were making by swapping two bride seats for standards lol, most glanza buyers will be a
  17. cool, looks like I'll be coming down on the 22nd and staying till boxing day so I'm sure we can meet up before christmas day The seat may look a bit dirty but its not too bad, the colour of the bride strips are supposed to change colour but I'll get some decent cleaner on there defo, I didnt know what 1001 was untill I googled it, looks good! lol
  18. Yeh defo mate, I may well be down for christmas sometime so I'll give you a Pm
  19. Bride Reclining Bucket Seat with ep91 Rail for £20? Errrr....Yes Please! Thanks SooperD for the "tip off", you the man. If I had spent £500 on this I would still be pleased, it holds you in confortably and makes you feel much more connected to the car. The guys at that garage nice as they were, were a little clueless about the value of the bits in those cars! Could'nt believe my luck that it was still there
  20. Cheers bud, the reason you might be hitting cut is down to boost creep. I have a hybrid turbo with ported wastegate which eliminates creep entirely, so I recommend one very much! I reckon an emanage will work a treat and give you a good gain with the right tuner, but you cant beat a standalone like an Apex-i or Fcon Pro ecu, they are the real deal if you have the cash to splash! Cheers for the info on that thing in gloucester Really hope I've caught it in time!
  21. Cheers buddy! Next on the cards is a new splitter.
  22. Yep, hope so mate! I'm just debating how far I can take the boost on the standard engine at the moment, trying to decided between 1 (14.5psi) and 1.1 bar (16psi). The turbo is designed to be run at 1.1 consistently, I guess as long as the fueling is sufficient I shouldnt have any problems. I've seen people run over 200 bhp on the standard 4e with no problems, but I am told its less a case of the power output but more a case of boost levels, when engine tolerances are concerned. Whats your opinion mate?
  23. Just thought I'd post a lil update. I attended a rolling road day courtesy of the SJCC forum (Somerset Jap Car Club). I thought even though I was back on the standard ecu limited to 0.8 bar, I might as well do a health check on the car, make sure its making decent power, it certainly felt like it should be! So here's the RR + A/F graph. Its a laminated photo so the glare is a bit of a pain but I didn't get an electronic copy at the time. It put out 145 bhp and 139 lbs/ft at the wheels, which equates to 172 bhp and 165 lbs/ft at the fly. Not bad at 12 psi just below fuel cut. Overall I am ha
