when you have decent amount power you will need them. they stop the engine twisting too much and help when changing gear as well. you do get vibration in the cabin, but this is mostly at idle, once you get going they are not as bad.

^^ yer its one for one in this case.

Hair Mubarak!

You will be needing a forged engine. If you dont like the sound of a td05, you could go down the route of getting a gt series roller bearing turbo. These newer turbos spool up quicker and are more responsive. A gt28 should see you 300bhp no probs.

Help On Young Insurance People.....
5T4R7ET N/A replied to The Toffinator's topic in Lifestyle General
if your parents have any ncb tell them to use it on your policy and protect it. This will bring your policy down big time. then when your parents renew you can pay the difference that it costs for have no ncb. this is what ive done with my brother which saved him £££'s some companies still wont insure you because they have changed their policies and regard you as the higher risk, so they give you a stupid price, (basically they dont want to insure you) good luck mate -
the only uprated cam's that will go in, are out of the 5EFHE engine. very rare in the UK, more of them in US. this engine is the tuned version of the 5EFE found in paseo's. are you looking to tune your n/a or gong down the turbo route?? with cams you will need a uprated ecu as well

you can make most seats fit in a starlet with modification. as long as the seat will be able to fit in the car. remember you will need to still need to be able to slide the seat. What are " these seats" do you have a pic??? i used the the starlet rail and cut the feet off, i found the starlet rail feet made the seat too high. the only reason i kept the starlet rails is so i can use the plastic trim on the side of the originals rails. some people just use the the rail of the new seat and weld or bolt new feet on, which is easier. good luck

if your looking for valve stem seals contact HYBRID on toyotagtturbo.com. he done group buys on them recently at a reasonable price, plus they are better quality than oem

thanks for the comments , yeh will probably try both sets and see which are better, got a lot of humps in my area so will be able to see if they scrape. i got adjustable koni shocks on front and kyb climb gear on rear. bit odd but i hope it will be alright

well i wanted a good suspension set up with out going over the top. i dont want to go lower than 35mm. i have been fortunate enough to get a hold of some Apex springs and now snapped up some eibach potenza ones. now i dont know which ones to keep, i think that the eibach ones will be better as i think they are better quality than the apex springs. i have herd good things about apex as well. i think springs rates will be important. i cant be bothered to change my suspension twice and see which is better. (too long winded). so any experiences of using them?? which ones do you think are bett

the meter reading must be wrong. check your previous bill, it will have the meter reading on it and check your meter reading now. ring them up and ask them what was the meter reading for the last bill. people use £691 worth over a year!!! they 100% done something wrong there is no way you can use that much electricity over a month by the way southern electric are shit, my dad bought a house recently that uses southern electric and they are a rip off! good luck.

A tuned starlet will be quicker than a stock RS in a straight line. But the focus would munch in the beds

Help I Think My Car Is Bowing Up
5T4R7ET N/A replied to GlanzaJim's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
sounds like your inner CV joints are gone mate. this is not too expensive. get it checked out from a garage because you wont be able to do it yourself unless your good with cars. not to sure about the knocking noise on tick over. could be bottom end but I hope not. but it if you get it in a garage they will let you know. if your bothered a video would make it clearer for us good luck!! -

^^ how much would an engine to that spec cost, if a o.k condition fte was supplied? -
when the engine is warm and idling at 750 rpm, raise the rpm by 50 to 800 and see if it makes any difference to the noise. it is adjusted by a small screw located on the throttle body. to find it, follow the cable that attaches to the throttle body round on the linkage. the linkage piece rests on a little screw with a 8mm screw on the right. sometimes marked with a yellow dot. (sorry, not very good with explanations) i noticed that this reduced the noise from the ICV, but you will still be able to hear the injectors ticking away, they are pretty loud when bonnet is up.
