    just to clear it up. rota are an american company. they just manufacture all their stuff in the phillipines for labour and cost puropses. this seems to be a pretty tender subject eh? seems a conclusion has been met. people who own rotas are ok with them being 2nd rate copies. so thats that really.

    valve seals.... bout 30 quid if you do it yourself. but of a cunt to do though. can be done with the head on the car. but its much easier if you get the head off. itll take you a few hours.

    inlet valve seals are gone. or..... your rings. but i doubt it as its only when you boot it. rings smoke all the time. get a compression check.

    do do over a litre of oil in less than 200 miles you would be leaving plumes of smoke behind. seeing as you are NA. im gunna say its your valve seals. but you would be puffing LOTS of smoke... IF it is your rings. your car will run a bit off. get your compression checked. that will tell if its your rings

    Rotas: copies of jap wheels = lame. not as light = lame not as strong = lame all of you who are raving about these rotas have obviously never looked at/picked up a proper TE37 or Spoon SW. people see rota wheels on a car and think "couldnt afford the real thing?" you get what you pay for at the end of the day. they are cheap and cheerful.
