Any body have a zep upper brace?
Glanza_Ragger replied to Glanza_Ragger's topic in Lifestyle General
Thanks so much matey ;) Keirz gets my loving all monday now ;) How did you get the actual belt through that small gap though haha, i havent had a really good look at the seat belt, but did you mount the brace points either side, then actually remove the brace bar? slide the seat belt webbing into it, then re-attatch the bar ? does that make sense ? lol -

Thats what im thinking of doing matey, Im going to nip to the bolt shop tomorrow, see if i can get some with the same thread pitch but longer to go through both the brace and seat belt point. Do you think it will lose rigidity though ? being bolted through both the seat belt point and the brace? -
as the title says, anybody running a c-pillar brace but with the seat belts in still ? the bolts are too short and i cant quite fugure out if its possible to have the seat belt upper mounting points fixed in still.. if not its not a huge problem as im stripping it soon any way. i know joz has the mc_chu brace any body else ?

The idle control valve is bolted on the far left hand side of the inlet manifold matey. The sensor in the top first one baffles me too. Mine clicks, so i unplgged it it and the car runs perfect but with no clicking ;) so ive left it unplugged. runs fine. its definatelty NOT the idle control, and its deifnately NOT the map sensor. it baffles me after owning the v for 2 years lol

In japland, the ep's dont have side repeaters. there not needed. Allthough in the uk we need them, hence why most ep's you see have stick on side repeaters ;)

;) Shit man, i know exactly how you feel. The amount of damage that happened to my old saxo right outside the house. Its truly gutting. All in good time though, as the lads have said, either karma will catch up with them OR youre bound to see the nonces walk past and snigger or make a wisecrack.. Thats the time when you bust out some kneecapping skills. Scum. Only word for it. Jelous scum, they probably cant afford a decent car because there skint paying for there 10 children on benefits.

my old corsa gsi (shock horror) never had power steering.. Just that huge ecotek pile of crap. MISSION to park. Fine when moving, but parking i used to break out in a sweat -
Your going to want ramps to pull the car on, Also a second set of hands unless your built like arnie. The boxes are quite heavy for such a small car. Give yourself a good day to change a clutch, assuming you have an idea what to do. Also purchase a clutch alignment tool, makes the job a hell of a lot easier.

Ive never been running one, But i will be getting a condenser/earthing kit. My gauges are starting to flicker where im not getting enough power to them, going to try a condesner first before i get an uprated battery. or maybe even a charge, seeing as the damn thing hasnt moved in 3 months

I thought on the gt models, the lambda sensor is a 2wire type ? Glanzas run a single wired lambda probe. It will give false readings. I know thats true for the very early gt's , dont know about later quadlamp models.

Tell him to telephone VOSA direct. They will put him straight. Why would it need a CAT ? Its not a uk starlet. VOSA will look up your glanza, once they realise its the jdm model starlet and there IS NO uk equivalant GLANZA they will tell him I know they come as standard with catalysts on them, but there will be no records on VOSA's computers to tell the mot testers otherwise. If they still try and test it under a uk toyota starlet, it will probably fail any way because the emissions will be higher than a uk model. Besrt bet is to take it to a quality mot center where they test imports o

When youve fitted all of your brake parts, fill the brake tank up. pump the pedal a few times with the bleed nipples closed. Then, starting at the corner furthest, with somebody inside the car.. Open the nipple,Push the pedal to the floor, whilst its to the floor, lock the nipple back up (dont let the brake pedal up at all with the nipple open) Let the pedal up. Open the nipple again, Push the pedal to the floor, lock the nipple. Keep doing that whilst checking there is brake fluid topped to the max mark. Once your certain there is no more trapped air, move on to the next furthest corner

Im running mintex extreme pads with 3g 10grooved discs and braided lines. In my opinion they work spot on. Pagids are supposed to be brilliant. I had ferodos on previously but found they wore easily. -
Ive just had another read of your progress dude. Its comming along brilliantly. Your getting seriously stuck into the bodywork, which is allways a good thing to see.Got some choice parts going on too Good work lad!

if you had £250 what part would you buy
Glanza_Ragger replied to sl8ter & jett's topic in Lifestyle General
They had different seatbelt mount positions, they were altered from the '82 items Repainted and relabeled by the looks because you couldnt see where they had been modified. Ive seen a couple of the ep91 sidebars on yahoo , and theres allways custom ones being thrown up on there. Just a shit that i cant speak japanese to contact them.Cant even pm the user because i cant figure out how to sign up to the jap yahoo lol -
