  1. Nothing wrong with 106's if its a gti Hey!
  2. Best way to do it, is to buy an air/fuel ratio gauge. yes it WILL run richer but you have to increase the fuel supply to accomodate the air increase. You WILL have to increase the fuel supply going into the carb if your running any kind of induction kit on such an engine. otherwise you'll be running around with the choke on constantly which isnt good. fit the air/fuel ratio gauge then just play with the carb fuel pin untill its setup to use the choke. you just have to adjust it, try it. adjust it, try it etc chap. Its the ecu's job on a fuel injection engine to richen the mix automatically
  3. sweet man, i may well do. nice weather for a kick about. but first, gonna giv the car a quick clean for pod tomorrow You still not commin dude? be sweet if you bring ya car up. im following a mate from work. if you fancy commin thats cool. be a nice day if its sunny. which it should be

  6. Find out if your carb is adjustable, most are.It should have a bleed screw on the side somewhere which lets more fuel into the mixture. Not totally sure what kinda carbs come fitted to them, so its not a promise
  7. Git, everybodys going abroad apart from me
  8. Icant see the nessesicty of purchasing a tdo4 kit if your running stock internals? ? Anybody for some toasted internals? I've seen plenty of spec lists but hardly anybody uprates the internals.. 240bhp out of stock internals is pushing the limits. Additional injectors? Forged pistons? Conrods? Crankshaft? Uprated headgaskets? Balancing??? You know its really easy for somebody to buy a starlet, Source a tdo4 kit, pipework etc then crank the boost up... But just exactly how long will it be , before something goes pop?
  9. E-bay is your best bet. Ive seen a few on there.Dont they use them for stock car racing?
  10. theres the super drager II which has a different tip, and allows you to insert a baffle plate , depending how loud you like it. The Hi power is pretty loud, depending on if its just the backbox or the complete system, also de-cats and manifolds play a big part in the note.. My super drager is silent untill it gets hot, then the only thing you hear is a slight burble on tickover.
  11. haha sweet man, see im special! i allways knew there was a reason for my teachers calling me that
  12. Are they the only mods youve done to it?
  13. Its made to be quiet enough to participate in japanese races... they cant have mentally loud systems on there track cars by all accounts. Its as good as any other system , but it doesnt sound like a tank comming down the road It does, on the other hand .. have a nice burble on idle when its hot.You could thrash it down the road though and its un-noticable. unlike some. When you get it, rip the exhaust baffle out from inside the round can. my weapon of choice is a crow bar, poke it through the tip and yank all the metal baffle out from inside. be patient because theres ALOT. It doesnt m
  14. Nice choice, the facelift gt's look meaaan You'll love it
  15. Good stuff joz, What suspension setup you getting? Im after some coilovers in the near future. The uprated springs/dampers atm jus dont cut it round corners lol its gone from feeling like a boat round corners to feeling more like a go kart with no travel.
  16. They'll be talking about "that strange car with the funny purple springy thingys" down the pub for weeks now Wat was it? a starlet or something
  17. Strippage Mine hardly ever goes on a diet unless its for a trackday lol then it piles on the pounds again. Sounds brilliant too
  18. No not at all, thats bloody cheap even if it doesnt include postage.I cant deicide beetween a carbon bonnet or my decat and manifold
  19. Welldone, Another starlet passes with flying colors Outta interest what was your emissions %?
  20. starletboy, did yours have the brackets welded to the pipe to mount and support?
  21. i would have opted in joz but im getting my decat pipe any day and trying AGAIN to save for my fmic kit
  22. Isnt that turbo badge off of a porker gt?Very nice. I love those wheels on black cars.JDM all the way
  23. Its allways some use, But id have thought it more of a use in a turbo where letting the backpressure release easier.. How many other n/a guys on here have fitted a de-cat and whats the gains. Id have thought more torque throughout the rev range but that can be said for both turbo and n/a.
