  1. nice one buddy. glad to still see solid progress. how much did the tyres set you back?
  2. apexi bov bloody hell look at me go! another update within days of the last! well ive been wanting a decent branded bov for a while, looked down the usual routes: blitz, bailey, hks, greddy etc.... but i really wanted something different, and i remember the guy i bought the car off had a black glanza with the apexi twin chamber bov fitted... that has been the only other one of these ive seen in the flesh... so i went on the hunt and picked one up for reasonable money... i initially was gonna wait until i had a fmic to fit it... but temptation was too much! out of the box, pretty grubby: i
  3. WOW! congrats graeme & heather!
  4. yeah i realised about 30 seconds ago... sorted now. fucking photobucket. cheers bud.
  5. front lip update! (ive been waiting a while for this one!) righto, well when i initially went to look at my car it had the std front lip fitted, as i wanted... a day later i put down a deposit and it turns out he'd sold the front lip separately! so that was one of the first things on the list... nearly 3 years on i finally have one fitted! wahoo! i initially bought a livesports front lip, but this was troublesome, due to the fact that on 14's i couldn't get out of my drive! so i did a swap with adian@epstyling off tgtt and recieved my front lip last week! pics: painted before aft

    check you inbox buddy! ;)
  9. im with sparky... 200 miles is about my average if i am driving normally... i think im gonna have a go at porting my wastegate, anyone know if you can you do it on the car? and what do you do about the filings? plus how much are you taking out? is it 2mm overall? nice diy(ish) mods there mate. i love a bit of diying. kudo's! ;)
  10. ive seen that numberplate somewhere before... ecksjays old one?
  11. nah, the sports are ok, but as said you'll struggle to sell it because everyone wants the tubby version. i wouldn't do it.
  12. shelly has a set of those, i think theyre worth a fair bit for being tte... but you'll have to ask her!
  13. this is the best place for the thread mate. Rich.
  14. yeah, im thinking the 3 diy projects on the go should turn out ok, my aim is to have it all ready for summer so i can just enjoy it, unlike last year fucking around with wheels until mid july
  15. fair do's buddy, thats some good feedback. thanks for the imput, i'll reconsider the cut back blades i think.
  16. cheers buddy. nah, i couldnt do without the air con! plus boostcreep would be my enemy... im tempted to find another ct9 or a ct12 and get the wastegate ported and have the exhaust blades cut back so i can then do away with the efi pipe and have the filter where the hi/low boost solenoid is, but thats a bit in the future as i dont yet have a front mount. youre a turbo man, how much would somewhere like your place charge to do that to a ct9/12?
  17. filter update after ages of enjoying the flutter through my k&n panel filter i decided to sort out a proper filter setup for the V. i personally hated the flat spot at the beginning of the rev range and sucking noise you got from fitting an open filter to the fte, but i decided that it was time to do a proper open filter setup. and of course, as i normally do, i didn't just go and buy one, i made one up of a load of genuine k&n piping, silicone joiners and a pretty large k&n filter. here's the finished result: after resetting the ecu and a few hundred miles under its b
  18. i dont know how he affords it either tbh! thanks for the nice words buddy! thanks mate, as rob said they're enkei's and im led to believe theyre a earlier version on the es-tarmacs, but in 14inch... also did a quick vid of 'the four' the other night:
  19. im a big fan, but i could never do it to a car myself. a ratted starlet would defo be something different, im not convinced it would suit the tame jap looks to be honest... but hey, its something different, so why not try it! my old gripe with ratted cars is when they do one small rat inspired mod (i.e the bonnet) and do the rest pure showcar stylee, then it just looks like the cars fucked. very much like the fiesta above, but thats just my opinion.
  20. you people are mad, i would NEVER pay any more than £1200 to insure a car, unless its something like a supe a gto or a liner etc. i really wanted more power when i had my n/a, but i just couldnt justify the insurance, so i just waited until it was cheaper, why dont you consider waiting another year and continue saving to buy a mint glanza or something?
  21. no problem buddy. thank you! great buyer, payed straight away. A+
