Another thread revival! Lol Yes I had a front end knock in it when I owned her, it had a brand new genuine Toyota bonnet, slam panel, crash bar, lights, radiator, bumper and wings... The headlight surrounds were a bit bent but were tweaked and welded into place, I intended to replace these but lost interest and sold it to my mate Oli who then sold It to another mate Gareth, who I assume sold it to you? During it's last owner it was just left so it wouldn't surprise me if it was in a bit of a state now. How many miles has it done now? I assume you know it's had a engine change too? Pm me if you want to know any more info mate!

Nice one! Cheers buddy!

Yes mate, factory fitted. It's got the Toyota logo on the fob... Can't see any stickers or anything on the siren though? Also on a separate note, she's overfueling... So gonna try a new lambda sensor... Cheapest I can find is a crimp your own Job on eBay, anyone got a good working order one kicking about?

Got a couple of questions about my seo. Firstly, the car was sold to me with the alarm not working, I've tried the holding both buttons on the remote trick but still no luck... I'm assuming someone has disconnected it, so where am I looking for either a fuse or the connections to plug it back in, and what other faults are known with this system? And just a quick one... Im sure I'm right on this one but I just wanted to clarify, does the starlet exhaust system fit the seo? Looking at it, it seems identical to the starlet one apart from the longer tailpipe.

Hey guys, I've been a member on uksc for years, I've had a starlet, a Glanza and currently drive a Sz supra; However, with fuel prices as they are I've needed a cheaper runabout for a while... And I came across this little bargain the other day! But I had to get busy removing the stickers and sorting the numberplate! I intend to spend very little on her, basically other than essential servicing parts and tires. Other than that I will only get cheap 'pre loved' parts for her! Plan will be sorting my stereo out in it, and possibly lowering it. Also the alarm doesn't work, so anyone got any ideas on what to check to get it working again?

I've put this in wanted too, but I figure a few more people will see it here, I need a cheap blitz nur spec bung if Anyones got one kicking about? Or just a 4" bung that I can make fit! Pm me please.

Does it look familiar? It's a drift chassis tamiya 1/10 job. Was my Xmas pressie an only just finished it! I do have a update to come on the real thing soon, just waiting for a good day to clean her an take some pics!

I'm with streetracer on this... I worked out the other day that I was getting 35-40 mpg outta my Glanza nearly 50 mpg outta my na... You guys have got it so easy, start complaining about mpg when you have a thirsty car! The supe will do low 20's or if you're booting it high teens! And that's a 3.0 n/a!!
-
Yes but Phil, my n/a was rough around the edges... Youres was just millpond perfect! At least you spent money if you could... I was so skint back then that if I wanted something I'd make or modify something to fit... Case in point, the graphics on the n/a, which I hand cut from vinyl! And the rear strut brace modified from a mk3 astra! Lol Cheers guys, nice one Zac, I hope she brings you years of trouble free motoring! That Glanza was in great mechanical shape all thru it's easy life with me! I'll have another let one day, my worry is that none of you guys will still be on here when that happens! Lol
-
Cheers guys! Nice to know people apprecheated her too! I do miss the car ( Rose tinted spectacles ) but I never considered it any better than any of youres! If anything I was inspired buy you guys too! Phil you're let has turned out x10 more innovative than mine would ever have been!

Iamlegend's TDO4 White Glanza V 1999
scutch0 replied to iamlegend's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
I'm assuming that being a auto the gear ratios are a bit different. Mine is as quick as my old Glanza 0-60, and then over that it's savage! Still loving every moment mate, if I had it my way I would never sell it! Unfortunately in on the hunt for a new job, which will involve travelling further, as I'm unsure if I'll have to go back to a rice rocket... Probably a Honda this time, I dunno. We'll see! Well enjoy the Glanza mate, she looks like a lovely example! -

tut tut. given up on the soup already. lol only messin. was it costing too much to run? -
ok guys, time for another update methinks. anyone who has ever seen in the boot of a supra will soon realise how little space there is. add some general tools (i like to be prepared) all my car cleaning stuff, and a little subwoofer and its next to useless, so this was my next port of call. i was also wanting to sort out some kind of install that wouldnt take up too much space either, this is what i came up with. each panel lifts out to reveal either the spare wheel, jack or cleaning products, with has meant that i could clear all the crap off my back seat! the sub enclosure is fibreglass and is profiled to fit the boot floor and is probably only a litre or two short of being perfect for this sub. also painted the sub as the grey plastic cone was pretty scratched. toolkit is now velcro'd to the 'false' floor. ive also been playing with fittin some gauges in the soup, i ordered a pillar pod and was shocked at how bad the fit was, so when i finally gave up on that idea i decided to build my own gauge cluster after the perfect location was found. out came the fibreglass again! this is the end result all painted up. finally, i gave up on the blitz front bumper i had as it seems it was a bit ott for the look i was after, so after a few balls ups trying to get a front lip i decided to go for the factory active front spoiler, it is designed to extend from the factory front at higher speeds, in this instance ive locked the spoiler in the down position, as it was working out to be very costly and time consuming fitting the whole cradle, undertray, wiring harness and ecu to my car. ive also fitted some 10,000k hids to her a few days back, unsure if i like the ice blue effect, but they're a improvement for now! heres some pics i took the other day of how she stands atm. possibly getting a 1st decat in a few weeks to enhance the sound a little, also working on a new intake system for her when i get the time. Rich.

No probs ant, still got a few bits to do before I'm really happy with it, but so for I'm pretty pleased. Idrees: cheers bud, I think the wheels are by far the best improvement on the car (as is normally the case with my cars!) And yes I know the rear spats are an aquired taste! I actually got these ones in a attempt to cover up a small dent, but there just a little too small, so I'm contemplating going for some failside spats instead. ;)

Thanks for the imput guys... Phil, here's the front bumper, but I'm considering staying oem

long overdue update! well, its been a while, as i had a load of spraying done, that didnt go well, so i spent ages (& lots) sorting it out. long story cut short: i had the back bumper, front bumper, bonnet and wheels resprayed. the rear bumper just didnt match. its now sorted tho, and have done a few other bits too. wheels were refurbed, ngk iridiums fitted, standard airbox fitted, interior illumination changed, new leather gaitors fitted & various little niggles sorted etc. the interior panels is also coated in this shite rubber film stuff that 1) looks crap unless its new, and 2) rubs off dead easy, so i had shiny patches all over the interior. so ive stripped them all down and resprayed them the same colour as the wheels. ive also had a good going over the bodywork, initially having the car mopped, and then using the meguiars 3 stage paint cleaner, polish and wax to seal it. also fitted some custom side skirts, and my bomex rear spats. i also have a blitz front bumper to fit, but unsure on if its the look im after. have also done some tarting up under the bonnet too. pics! and a final one of me with the beast.

Toyota Supra N/a 3litre Rwd Action!
scutch0 replied to iamlegend's topic in Other Motors Progress Blogs
Hey mate, as I said in my thread, the n/a ain't no slouch compared to what I was used to in the starlet! I still thing a decent spec gt or Glanza would have it. Off the line without a doubt. How addictive are you finding going over 5k?!?! Because I can't help myself sometimes!
