yeah, ive seen that a couple of times, makes me laugh tho. the copper says to him: "is the exhaust legal?" he replies "dunno" copper: "well theres no silencer, so its illegal" like theres a actual law about there having to be a silencer on an exhaust system! ;) he should have said 'its too loud' but then again, i dont think theres actually a db sound limit on a exhaust anyway. i believe a mot tester can fail a car if he see's it to be 'excessively' loud, but thats it.

yeah i'll try an have a go tomorrow morning. well theres a bit of a update since returning from holiday. the car need a nearside outer cv boot and i was still in holiday mode so i payed a mechanic i know to do the work. he's a real good guy and said he could do it for cheapo's of me, so i turned up and got it done. then i found this: he did say the employee who he got to do it had trouble getting the my rays lock nut off, but it looked like he just hammered a socket onto it and took it off that way. not amused. ;) all is tho as he's agreed to pay for a new set for me. other than that i
