cheers guys. loving the sound its great when it gets warmed up. yeah, its a rea bad routing, but i think its pretty good for backpressure plus that backbox of mine must be really restrictive as on starup it sounds standard! centre box? nah, got them to do away with that!! only things on the system are 1) the cat, (not for long!) 2) the flexipeice, 3) the back box.

where can i get a dizzy and rotor arm for the V off the net? ive seen that fensport do them, but is there anywhere else? plus how much do the uprated ignition leads cost for the 4efte? and how can i tell if my dizzy is boot or clip fitting?

ok, i've been thinking my wheels needed something else for quite a while now, as i wanted the paint to come out a bit lighter than it actually did. so ive been toying with an idea for a while so heres the finished result: everyone who has seen it says it looks much better, i must admit, it came out better than i thought it would!! opinions welcome.

i wouldnt try the 5efhe if you want a bolt in, plug in and go engine. it needs just as much rewiring as the 4efte does. trust me i tried it!

streetracers right. alternatively try to identify the wires on the stereo loom, not the car loom, and connect them from there. be sure the connectors cant touch metal to metal (use insulated connectors or soulder and heatshrink them)together otherwise the speakers wont work at all.

no, it'll be two slots. just two butter knives will do the job, slot them in at the top of the sides and angle them downwards as you push them in. that should do the trick, other than that, as said try halfords.

yes the paseo 5efe engine is a straight swap, most wiring should be the same, you will need the 5efe ecu however. all the other engines i wouldnt bother with unless you intend throwing money at it. 5efe is just a longer stroke version of the 4efe (starlet engine)

ok guys, ive been wanting to do a gutted cat for ages now, but i didnt want to do it unless i had a spare cat just in case i ever needed to put it back on (i remember glanzajim having huge troubles trying to get his thru mot and ended up putting one back on) so ive recieved my cat downpipe this morning, but im undecided on what to do now. initially i was going to gut the cat downpipe i got thru the post, but now i keep thinking im gonna do it and then find taking the old one off the car a total pain in the arse especially with sensors and what not, so should i gut the one thats on the car instead? what would be easiest? also what are the two sensors in the downpipe? im assuming one is the lamda, but whats the other one? and which one is which? cheers Rich.
